[russian/bms.htm] Automation of technological process for measuring ultrasonic heads' acoustic field characteristics GymnaUniphy has developed and represents at the world market considerable range of medical devices for mono- and combined ultrasonic therapy . Automated quality control system designed for ultrasonic heads' acoustic field measurement at specified frequencies as per international standards is used in manufacture of ceramic heads. Simplistically, one can say that the system hardware consists of vessel filled with distilled water, needle-type hydrophone with precision stepping motor and is connected to computer. Software of the «Beam Measurement System» controls the whole process and database (Oracle), as well as fulfils the following tasks: authorization of operator that performs testing; selection of head ultrasonic beam scanning method; in addition to some partial methods the following four full-scale methods are also supported: IEC routine measurement with line scans IEC routine measurement with raster scans IEC reference measurement (with raster scans) FDA reference measurement (with raster scans) control of hydrophone travel along specified trajectories in accordance with selected scanning method; values of acoustic field intensity readout and storage in database; calculating of required parameters (beam alignment axis, mean-square acoustic pressure, effective radiating area, beam non-uniformity ratio, etc.) and storage in database; drafting, storage and printing of report that will be included into the head registration certificate; support of heads models assortment and their operational characteristics.
