The main purpose for applying this program is to ensure health and environmental protection and safety for citizens, and at the same time maintaining a high quality level of products, and preventing the unsafe products from entering Ukraine, being produced in Ukraine and handled on its market. Applying the program will prevent dumping the local markets with low quality imported products. As the result it will give a chance for a fair competition between the local and imported products, and this complies with the objectives and requirements of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
