This change in floor coverings is an inexpensive way to separate a space. 7. Incorporate different style Arrange the furniture such that it defines the area for separate activities. You can also use different style of furnitures and furnishing for each activities. For example, use soft and cushy couch for the seating area, and use hard-wearing workdesk and armchair for your work area. 8. Change the mood using lights Ever wonder that light could be a great space divider? Well, it definitely can! Use different tone of light for each activity area. For work areas, use bright general lighting. Opt for a low light for your relaxation area. Group the downlights together to highlight the division of area.
