That changed for the 2003-2004 indoor season with S.A. Ukraina fielding a team in OVA's 1st Division. The team consisted of a few veterans and many new younger players. It was a learning experience and a promising one as well. Even more recently there has been an injection of new players who are young and very talented, so now the team has enjoyed more success and is able to field 2 teams for tournaments. With the onset of summer we are playing Monday nights on the beach at Ashbridges Bay (2 on 2 beach volleyball starting around 6pm). Look for us on the west side of the beach where volleyball is played. Leagues play on Monday nights and take up many courts, so we play on the courts that the leagues don't take up. You will often find us on the beach on the weekends as well (primarily Sunday around 1pm) and Wednesday nights indoor at Christie Ukrainian Cultural Centre at 7:00pm. Anyone else in the Ukrainian community wanting to play should contact Roman Darewych at 416-268-1364 or on rdarewych@fmco.com. Polish Tournament - June 2004 Two teams entered and both made the playoffs, but could not do better then the previous tournaments 2nd and 3rd place visit and neither made it to the final 4.
