Projects Since I like UNIX, I'll mention only UNIX-related projects. I created UNIX/Linux team in ScienceSoft [http://www.scnsoft.com] company. There are 5 guys now. BSD Certification centre in Belarus My idea is to create subj. in Belarus June, 2005 - present BSD community member / ScienceSoft Inc. (DIN EN ISO 9001:2000), UNIX/Linux team Project Manager My activities: join the discussion about national cert. centres; be ready to pass certification; be ready to be a trainer; join project as a member of russian translation team; /* After these months certification in english looks more preferable... */ UNIX search UNIX search is based on Google custom search engine uses customized list of target web sites October, 2006 - present My activities: founder and maintainer; collect links to UNIX/Linux resources, add them to the search; Development tools and technologies: Google Custom Search Engine Operating systems: any OS as a client; Staff: 1 developer. CIFS Proxy - WAN proxying tool Transparent proxy tool designed for Wide-Area Networks. June, 2006 - present ScienceSoft Inc. (DIN EN ISO 9001:2000), UNIX/Linux team Project Manager My activities: prepare initial project statement; improve the development process; general management of the development process; Development tools and technologies: C\C++ Operating systems: GNU/Linux, any OS as a client; Staff: 3 developer. netVFS - smb network lookup tool Creates full index of all network shares. Now it is a bit slow, but rather smart. We are still working. June, 2006 - present ScienceSoft Inc. Team members activities tracker Keeps task progress percentage, list of performed/planned activities, description of fixed issues and list of still existent problems. It allows day-to-day progress marking by team members and on-line access to progress status. July, 2006 - present ScienceSoft Inc. Complex shutdown tool for corporate network The main idea is to save electric power by switching off unused PC around the corporate network. There are a lot of business requirements, like: to handle vacation days, deep night overtimes, early morning meetings and etc; to allow 24h work of server group and limited in time work of "usual" PCs; to allows easy and smart editing of business rules and different levels of approval from management.
