Ethel MacLeod Hart Multipurpose Senior Center
912 27th Street, (916) 264-5462
Program information for
Older Adults Services offered at this site
Located
in Marshall Park in midtown Sacramento, on 27th Street
between I and J Streets, the facility is accessible to Business 80 and
many Sacramento Regional Transit bus
routes.
The Hart Senior Center is openly nestled among trees
in the surrounding park area, and the meeting rooms are named after these
beautiful trees. This unique building-in-the-round first opened its doors
in 1961 as the Sacramento Senior Center; was renovated in 1991 and doubled
in size. In 1994, the Center was renamed to honor Ethel MacLeod Hart and
her generous bequest to the Citys Older
Adult Services.
All rooms are available for rental for meetings or special events Tuesday
through Friday during evening hours or on the weekends. A full catering
kitchen is also available and all rooms have heating/air conditioning.
On-street parking available only. A small driveway near entrance permits
easy access for drop-off of customers with disabilities.
