It specialises in the processing of hot-rolled steel plate for tubular wind tower manufacturing plants along with other components such tower doors, platfomrs, foundations. etc. Processing takes place at Kherson Shipbuilding Plant, in the southern part of Ukraine, with management and operations team based in Dnepropetrovsk. Comparatively low cost of raw material and labour, high quality of products and services, and favourable location (Kherson sea port, Black Sea) help the company stay competitive on the European market for the fifth year in a row. Madesta’s sales volume doubled over the last three years, reaching 100,000 MT in 2005 as a result of strong demand, efforts at increasing production capacity, and cooperation with ThyssenKrupp Mannex on the distribution in Europe. Our regular clients include Gamesa (Spain), EHN (Spain), Vestas (Denmark). The company will continue to expand its capacity and sales in 2006 as well (plan - 150,000MT). This goal will mainly be achieved by capitalizing on growth in Europe. Having achieved this goal, the company will be one of the major players in Europe supplying processed plate to wind tower building plants. Madesta is a member of the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) since 2003. Other areas of interest for the company lie in the processed plates from the shipbuilding industry and manufacture of order-specific steel structures for the mashinebuilding industry.
