* The International Youth Festival of Jewish Arts “Grand-Prix “Hope-Atikva“ was founded in 1999. The Festival’s motto is: “Youth against xenophobia, war and terrorism“. Last years, terrorism joined the list of the worst enemies of civilization’s progress. The threat of terrorist acts keeps the whole world in continuous tension. Only a joint effort of all the world’s countries, of all nations, and of people of all ages, can overcome xenophobia, war and terrorism. A very special impact on this can be made by youth, which represents the world’s best hope for happy future.

* Every spring, young and talented Jewish fellows from U.S.A., Russia, Moldova, Israel, Ukraine, and other countries come to Kiev to declare “No to xenophobia, war and terrorism!“ on the stage. The age of participants ranges from 7 to 25 years old. They compete in three age categories (7-12, 13-17 and 18-25) in nominations: dances (soloists and ensembles), singing (soloists and collectives), instrumental music (soloists and orchestras), an original genre etc. Members of the jury, include National Artist of Ukraine and composer Alexander Zlotnik (a chairman) Honored Artist and choreographer Alla Rubina, professor and composer Marko Fainer and others.

* At the Festival, one can find companies presenting products made for teenagers, youth, families and households; tour companies; exhibitions; product tastes; drawings and contests; TV links with countries participating in the Festival.

* Sponsors have a great chance to popularize their brands in the mass media and during the Festival’s concerts, which gather thousands of people.

* The Organizational Committee of the Festival invites diplomatic missions, state, public and industrial organizations and all others who share the ideas and goals of the Festival to participate in the preparation of the 2005-2006 cycle, with final in Kiev.
