It is aimed at supporting teaching, research and outreach functions of EERC. Library collection is mainly English-language and includes nearly 6,000 items of graduate level textbooks, monographs and reference materials in theoretical economics, finance, and business; subscriptions to several major economics journals. One of the Library’s strengths is a considerable collection of monographs, serials, and statistical data provided by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. In collection development, emphasis is placed on electronic information. Library holds about a hundred of CDs with electronic versions of economic journals and statistical data. Library offers its patrons access to such online aggregators and article databases as JSTOR, EBSCO, to Blackwell and Springer electronic journals databases. It also has a significant collection of statistical electronic databases from OECD, WIIW-WIFO, Eurostat, and more. Library functions are fully automated, and its online catalog http://library.div.ukma.kiev.ua:8000/F can be searched from any Internet access place. Over 250 registered patrons regularly use Library services. Library provides full range of services to EERC MA Program students, faculty, alumni, applicants and staff, as well as to participants of EERC Research and Outreach Center projects such as international faculty internships, conferences for economic theory instructors, research workshops, and international research projects. The services provided include circulation, reference and information consulting, bibliographic instruction, Internet access. EERC Library Reading Room is open to public. It houses three public PC stations (connected to Internet, with CD ROM), which are used by library patrons to search online catalog, access online and CD databases, find materials on the Internet etc. The Reading Room is also equipped with printer, scanner and copier. Every month, the list of new EERC Library acquisitions is distributed via e-mail and placed at a library web page http://eerc.kiev.ua/library/list_acquisitions.shtml . EERC Library closely cooperates with Kyiv Mohyla Academy library, Kyiv-Mohyla Business School library, American Library, National Parliamentary Library of Ukraine. EERC Library participates in eIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) international library consortium and INTAS-sponsored project “Access to Electronic Journals for NES Researchers”.
