Once through the pass, at an elevation of 2500 feet (752 m), the descent is quick down to the city of Alushta on the sea. The route from Alushta to Yalta offers breathtaking views as the road winds above the sea. The World’s Longest Trolleybus Line Stretching between Simferopol in the center of the Crimean Peninsula and Yalta on the Black Sea is the longest trolleybus line in the world. This journey of 54 miles (86 km) will take about 2 hours. It’s not the fastest way to Yalta but it's the cheapest and cleanest, and offers breathtaking views. As you continue on towards Yalta you'll see Nikitsky Botanical Garden, in the village of Nikita. Thousands of plants from all over the world decorate the well-traveled footpaths. A little further on is Massandra Vineyard , known for its famous wines which have won international competitions. Schedule Bus № 52 is the direct route to Yalta. It’s best to get tickets in advance during the high tourist season, July 15 till August 25. There's another bus which only goes to Alushta so be careful. Busses leave every 20 minutes.
