I'm a third year university student from Dnipropetrovs'k, Ukraine . My major is computer systems and networks. I grabbed my first bunch of processors a while ago, it was summer of 2004. Since then my collection has been continiously growing, and at a certain point I decided to make a website for it. I've learned some html, and designed the first version (not very nice one). Then I've learned some more html and css and wrote what you are seeing at the moment ;-) My site has been written and tested in Linux using KWrite text editor and mostly the Firefox browser. I am very fond of the former USSR microprocessors, hence the title of the site. Although I know, that most of them were only clones of western designs, Soviet chips look so fascinating! Now that I've got a couple of books and other materials on Soviet chips, I decided to make them available online. In the Articles section you can see some of them. Besides, it is really hard to get any engeneering samples and vintage (pre-386) gold/ceramic Western chips here in Ukraine, so don't expect many fancy pictures. Most of the cool stuff is in the USSR section, although there still are chips to look at in other sections. If you have any vintage processors that you would like to donate to this little museum, I would really appreciate this. You are always welcome to contact me.
