TRANSPORTATION GENERALINFORMATION [index_eng.htm] PRODUCTION RAW MATERIAL BASE REPROCESSING TRANSPORTATION OTHER BRANCHES CONTACTS UKR RUS ENG "Railway Transportation Complex" Branch Kazphosphate LLC RTC (ZhTK) branch "Kazphosphate" LLC is a railway transportation enterprise, rendering services of rail freightage and intraplant operations to Kazphosphate LLC branches and other enterprises located in the industrial area of Taraz. Total extension of tracks is 128,1 km in industrial area of Taraz and 166 km in industrial area of Zhanatas. The complex includes 30 locomotives of ТЕМ and TGM type. As a whole wagon park consists of 931 units, including: 382 railway cisterns for yellow phosphorus transportation 44 railway cisterns for phosphoric acid transportation 331 railway tank cars for phosphate rock transportation and 174 other tank cars. In 1973 by the order of Ministry of Chemical Industry, Dzhambul enterprise of industrial railway transport (now ZhTK branch of "Kazphosphate" LLC) was founded on the base of transportation shops of chemical plants, providing transportation of freights of Zhambyl oblast chemical plants. The enterprise was founded due to intensive development of Karatau-Zhambyl territorial production complex brought to considerable increase of phosphate rock, yellow phosphorus, mineral fertilizers and other freights of chemical enterprises transportation. The question of production processes automation was solved by enterprise - the switches and signals were electrically centralized. The park loudspeaker and shunting radio communications were built up and put into operation by forces of employees, which are successfully used nowadays. Introduction of electrical signalization afforded to considerably increase the operation factors of enterprise. If before it took 5-10 minutes to prepare one train, now it takes no more than 3-5 seconds. In order to optimize transportations, technical condition of rolling stock and spur-tracks inside branches of "Kazphosphate" LLC, the railway shops were centralized and since 01.01.05 the railway shops of GPK "Karatau" (Zhanatas) and GPK "Chulaktau" (Karatau) became a part of ZhTK. At present there are four stations running in enterprise with an exit to tracks for general use of RGP "Kazakhstan Temirzholy" adjoining to spur tracks stations Assa and Chaikuruk in Taraz, stations Karatau and Zhanatas in Zhanatas industrial area. All stations are equipped with electric centralization of switchers and signals, equipped with loud-speaking communication. Today ZhTK branch pf "Kazphosphate" LLC is a modern transportation organization where the majority of labour-intensive processes is mechanized and automated, with high-capacity potential of technical equipment and stable efficient working collective.
