REPROCESSING GENERALINFORMATION [index_eng.htm] PRODUCTION RAW MATERIAL BASE REPROCESSING TRANSPORTATION OTHER BRANCHES CONTACTS UKR RUS ENG Zhambyl Branch "Kazphosphate" LLC - (NDFZ), Taraz "Mineral Fertilizers" Taraz Branch, "Kazphosphate" LLC, Taraz The NDFZ branch is a chemical plant where yellow phosphorus and phosphorus containing products such as orthophosphoric acid, sodium tripolyphosphate, trisodiumphosphate, ferrophosphorus and granulated slag are produced, it is located 15 km to North-West from the border of Taraz city, along the northern slopes of Ulken-Burul mountain of "Malyi Karatau" ridge. The total area of the plant is 644.75 ha. The main production lines at the plant are the following: agglomerate production - 3 sintering machines AKM-312 with capacity of 1.0 mln. t per annum each yellow phosphorus production , one block with 4 thermal electrofumaces RKZ-80F-I1 with capacity of 80 mWt each, the total project productivity is 120 th.t per annum thermal phosphoric acid production , two technological lines and four sludge units for processing of P4-containing sludge with the total project capacity of 120 th.tn. per annum STPP production , four technological lines, total project capacity of 120 th. t perannum P4 salts production (potassium tripolyphosphate, sodium-potassium tripolyphosphate, trisodiumphosphate), two technological lines with total capacity of 3000 t per annum production of food-grade STPP and food-grade orthophosphoric acid is started . For the first time in domestic and foreign practice the technology of yellow phosphorus production from the agglomerated phosphorite fines, earlier considered as a waste, in thermal furnaces RKZ-80F-I1 with capacity 80 mWt was introduced at NDFZ. Using of fine-grade phosphate rock connected with the development of effective technology of agglomeration the phosphorite fines on machines type AKM-312M with sintering area 312 nf made in Czech Republic. This is a new process in phosphorus production and it was successfully applied at NDFZ. During the process of yellow phosphorus production the molten products as sludge and ferrophosphorus generate in the furnace. After a thorough study of P4 production technological process parameters, influencing the chemical composition of iron-phosphoric alloy, the new method was found and studied over. This method allows forecasting the content of concurrent components and phosphorus in alloy of slag mode in the furnace. It has given the possibility to determine the alloy content before it outlets from the furnace, to organize the separate storing by the types of the parallel product of yellow phosphorus production - ferrophosphorus. As a result the production of 4 types of ferrophosphorus is organized at the plant, which is widely used in domestic metallurgy and for export to other countries. At this the quality of the produced alloys is much higher, than at many other slants of theindustry. In the process of phosphorus processing gases and dust are emitted into atmosphere. The level of emitted gases cleaning is 90.4%. The dust caught by pneumotransport is returned to the agglomerated process and exposed to processing. In the yellow phosphorus production lots of water is used and after running the technological process it contains many toxic substances. Though sewages 99% are cleaned from the phosphorus, there are some harmful impurities and it costs a lot to get rid of them. That's why it was decided to use cleaned water for repeated technological process in closed cycles, i.e. the industrial technological sewages, which contain harmful impurities are not drained to reservoirs. In fact all the wastes are returned to the production and are processed to the required product or neutralized according to environment or the intermediate product used for definite purposes is made, i.e. the non-waste technology is used in phosphorus production. Phosphorus and its compounds are widely used in different branches of economics: in matches production, in metallurgy - for alloyage of cast iron and steel, in chemical industry - for proofing of fabrics, plastic, timber (it makes timber fire-resistant), for production of drilling liquids, tooth paste, many food and pharmaceutical products. The phosphorus compounds are widely used in the production of phospho-organic combinations (tiophos, carbophosetc.) The P4-containing mineral fertilizers play very important role in agriculture, because the losses of phosphorus and its compounds in soil cannot be recovered in a natural way, the phosphoric fertilizers make the half of all mineral fertilizers and fodder additives produced in our country. The yellow phosphorus produced at NDFZ branch is awarded with many prestigious international awards for its high quality: "The Golden Arch" - Association of industrialists and businessmen of Spain, 1994 "The Golden Globe" - Copenhagen, Denmark, 1995 "The Diamond Star" - Mexico, 1996. In a highly competitive market of yellow phosphorus the company works with such companies as "Thermphos International B.V." (Holland), "Supresta GmbH"(Germany), "Alwernia" (Poland), "Fosfa" (Czech Republic), "Bige Holding" (Hungary), "Khimprom" JSC (Novocheboksarsk, Russia), Khimprom JSC" (Volgograd, Russia). In the market of STPP the company is one of the leading suppliers to all main producers of detergents in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Iran, Kazakhstan. The products of the highest quality are supplied to the plants of "Henkel" group in Russia. "Mineral Fertilizers" branch is a chemical plant for production of mineral fertilizers, fodder fluorine-free phosphates -for agriculture, and sulphocoal - for chemical water processing at power stations and boiler-houses. The plant takes an area of 449.2 ga and consists of the following production lines: the production of phosphate-nitrogen fertilizers - ammophos (monoamnionium-phosphate),output 240000 t per annum the production of fodder tricalciumpho- sphate, output 74 000 t per annum (in kind) 27% Р 2 O 5 The plant construction was started in 1948. In July 1950 the superphosphate workshop was started and the first product was made. In 1980s almost all the shops of the prime status were closed, new and more perfect ones were built. The processing of following materials was mastered : Karatau phosphate rock-to produce superphosphate, ammophos, ammophosphate, fodder tricalciumphosphate, ammonia calcium-phosphate; Karaganda coals - in the production of sulphocoal. For the first time in CIS ammoniac superphosphate, ammophos were produced, and for the first time the technology of hydrothermal processing of phosphorites was run in to produce fodder fluorine-free TCP. The following production technologies have been introduced : simple superphosphate - in the beginning powdery one from Karatau phosphate rock and then the production of granulated and ammonized superphosphate; extraction phosphoric acid (EPA) from the phosphate rock of Karatau. On the basis of the received data similar plants in Almalyk, Kokand, Samarkand, Chardzhou were built; half hydrated method of EPA production from appatites; superphosphate on the equipment of ammophos shop; nitroammophos on the equipment of ammophos shop. The pneumotransport system, SBDG devices, spray gears have been involved in the production process. New devices and transportation means were introduced : the transportation of phosphate powder in pneumotank-cars, handling of phosphate rock powder and fodder TCP inside the plant spraying-dryers to get powdered ammophos, which thereafter were reconstructed into SBDG to produce granulated ammophos scrubber of wet gas cleaning SDK device with revelving twisted flow and others All new devices' copyrights are reserved. Our specialists in cooperation with the scientists of research and projects institutes have introduced a new flexible technology affording to produce depending on the market demands to produce ammophos, diammonium phosphate, ammophosphate, ammopotassium phosphate, organic-mineral fertilizers. At the moment developed productions are: -ammophos from Karatau phosphate rock; ammophosphate as fertilizer of prolonged action according to resource-saving technology ecologically pure ammodipotassium phosphate; -ammonized potassium phosphate of prolonged action fodderTCPfrom Karatau phosphate rock organomineral fertilizers of sulphocoalammophos on the base of sulphocoal dust and ammophos nitroammophos from Karatau phosphate rock. The final production is sold both in internal and in external markets. The governmental program of subsidizing fertilizers to local farmers is working stably several years. Besides fertilizer are exported under long-term contracts to China, and also to the markets of Tadjikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, and Poland. The big work on developing the phosphate fertilizers markets of Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Iran is in process.
