Michael Antipoff. Model – is an art. Playing just an intermediate role in realizing of architectural project it has both graphic specific and creative potential. Model workshop “Format”, founded by Michael Antipoff, is one of the most successful in Kiev and is busy with making models of the highest level of quality during 10 years already. We have created our own technology of making models that is very flexible and is able to adapt to any task. Using different kinds of materials: glass, plastic, wood, traditional paper and applying fresh technologies we make model that both re-creates all range of textures and expresses such nuances as style and architectural character of its author. Models are always made according to the draught. But buildings are not isolated in real midst – they are surrounded with passages, benches, grounds and flower beds. Adding trees, cars, lanterns we try to breathe soul into our models . Figures of people are even created for models of large scale (1:50, 1:100). Passers by, couples, mothers with baby carriages become parts of plot scenes and dynamic currents that enliven atmosphere around the construction and so help to amplify its proportions, to estimate its interaction with surroundings.
