of the project is to contribute at the national level to the implementation of concrete targets of the UN Declaration of Commitments adopted by Member States at the UNGASS in June, 2001. This contribution is to be provided through establishing and operating of the National Institute of HIV/AIDS, which will assist the Government of Ukraine in policy formulation, development and implementation of comprehensive multisectoral programmes on HIV/AIDS, their monitoring and evaluation. Through various training programmes the Institute will develop capacities of a broad range of national specialists and institutions, including civil society organizations, working in the area.
