Selected works of Yevgen Groshev The superproject of master-medallist Yevgen Groshev "The Planet of Alfred Nobel" Memorial medals, dedicated to all Nobel Prize-winners The main project is "The Planet of Alfred Nobel". It`s especially dear to Yevgen Groshev and his whole soul and energy are put in this project. One of the most outstanding events in the 20th century has become the attempt of mankind to comprehend and to objectively evaluate the intellectual contribution of contemporaries in civilization development. This process had been initiated by the Nobel Committee foundation, which since 1901 has given more than 750 Nobel Prizes in six categories ("Peace Prize", "Economics", "Literature", "Physics", "Chemistry", "Physiology and Medicine"). The famous artist-medallist Yevgen Groshev has dedicated his life project to the world intellectual elite – the Nobel Prize laureates. The project includes: creation of memorial medals series with portraits of every Nobel laureate; creation of a monumental memorial token "The Planet of Alfred Nobel"; issue of a series of the nominational albums with collection sets of medals; publishing of printed books, catalogues, encyclopaedias, calenders etc.; a series of exhibitions "The Planet of Alfred Nobel" with all kinds of intellectual products of the program presentation. Three hundred medals and the albums dedicated to Nobel Prize-winners in Economics, Literature and Peace Laureates have been already executed. By the end of the year 2005 the collection is to be finished. From 2006 on medals depicting new Nobel Prize-winners will be added. Medals portraying Nobel Prize-winners are 40 mm in diameter and executed from sterling (925) silver. There is a possibility to make them from gold. The medals are displayed in albums. There may be one to three albums depending on the quantity of medals. The number of albums is as follows: 1. " Economics " - 1 album (seven sheets) 2. " Literature " - 2 albums (five sheets) 3. " Peace Prize " - 2 albums (five sheets) 4. " Chemistry " - 1 album (seven sheets) and 1 album (five sheets) 5. " Physics " - 2 albums (seven sheets) 6. " Physiology and Medicine " - 3 albums (five sheets) The albums are made from top quality natural black leather. The cover of each album is embossed with Nobel Prize symbols. There is a platter with Alfred Nobel‘s bequest on the inside of the cover of every first album. The medallion with the picture of Alfred Nobel appears on the first page. The author`s certificate is situated at the foot of the page. All folowing album sheets have 15 medals. Free sheets for filling up the collection are foreseen. "Yevgen Groshev Art Studio" has been established to realize the projects, to concern commercial, technical and technological aspects of the projects and to establish relations with museums, public organizations and collectors. Collectors, museum curators and everybody interested in medal art may order not only complete albums but also acquire separate medals from each of the six categories. Separate medals come complete with the author’s certificate. Since the Nobel collection is produced in limited editions the priority of ordering and completing existing collections with new medals will be given to the owners of the complete collection and the Nobel albums. Orders may be sent by regular or electronic mail to "Yevgen Groshev Art Studio". Upon every order the buyer will be notified about the precise date of the execution, mode of payment and shipment. Prices are negotiable. There are special discounts for museums, Nobel Prize-winners and their relatives, places of work where Nobel laureates are working currently or worked in the past and educational institutions. By acquiring Yevgen Groshev’s creations not only do you become owners of unique collector items but also promote and popularize ideals of the Nobel movement. Proceeds of the sale will be used for publishing books about Nobel and Nobel Prize-winners, creation of the memorial sign "Planet of Alfred Nobe" and a museum.
