School HISTORY [history.html] NEWS July 16- 31, 2005 International Summer Music Academy (Conditions) Hosting by Other site Counter Friends Over 20 classic music competition, which are held in Ukraine... www.competition.kiev.ua of Perfomance Mastery The idea to create the "School of Performance Mastery" occurred in the course of preparation and carrying out of the first and second International Competitions for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz. Jury members, honoured guests, teachers, well known musicians repeatedly express the idea to endow our talented children with constant attention of organizers of the competition in the period between the competitions, to provide them professional help for the future improvement of their performance. Therefor the principal idea of the "School of Performance Mastery" is to help the young performers in the process of their development as professionals, becoming real artists. The fulfillment of this project is being accomplished under the guidance of Main Department of Culture and Arts of Kyiv City State Administration, International Charitable Fund of Vladimir Horowitz Competition and R.M.Glier Kyiv State Higher Music College. The "School of Performance Mastery" is a constantly functioning system of master classes, conducted by famous musicians-maestros of performing arts. Works of the School will take place in the period between competitions. In the program of the school there have been foreseen both as carrying out the classes of performing mastery as organization of concerts, seminars, conferences and also performing within ensemble or with orchestra. There is not any age limit for musicians who want to study at the "School of Performance Mastery". They should choose the personally interesting master classes for themselves and to send the application for participation in it.
