The Project will present its initiatives in supporting stone quarrying and processing companies. Everybody is invited to attend the seminar! Later, we will inform you about the date of the seminar. The Project is preparing a CD to present at the seminar. The CD will contain materials of all the Project's initiatives for support of stone quarrying and stone processing companies. Initiatives are being developed to support machine building entreprises of Kharkiv oblast The Project's specialists are develping the web site for the Kharkiv Equipment and Machine Building Association (KEMBA). Training «Human Resources Policy and Personnel Motivation» At the request of wine manufacturing entreprises of Odesa oblast, it is being planned conducting the training on Human Resources. The training will cover the following: • liason between Human Resources Policy and strategic goals of the company; • personnel planning; • business processes in the company, organisational structure, recruitment, personnel motivation, etc. __ Clusters Business Enabling Environment Benchmarking Zhytomyr Odessa Kharkiv The Private Sector Development Project was launched in Ukraine in May 2003 via support for World Bank Loan . This is a four-year Project supported by the Department for International Development (DFID) of the UK Government. Executor of the Project is a British consulting company Emerging Market Economics Ltd . Project has partner organisations in Ukraine: the State Committee for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship (SCORPE) and the Ukrainian Centre for Enterprise Restructuring and Private Sector Development. Project Goal: Sustainable economic growth through private sector development. Project Purpose: Improving the competitiveness of Ukrainian medium sized businesses. The Project has three distinct initiatives: 1) support to business clusters; 2) launch of the first Ukrainian Benchmarking Index; 3) assistance to improve the business enabling environment. The Project team consists of Ukrainian and international experts who have significant experience working with transitional and developing economies at both micro- and macro-levels.
