Technical Writers Club of Ukraine [mission.htm] Welcome to Technical Writers Club of Ukraine! Our club is headquartered in the city of Kharkiv, the second largest Ukrainian city. It has been renowned for its booming software development sector and a huge pool of qualified experts. As the two-million city was humming on with IT life, our first Ukrainian community of technical writers came into being (as it turned out, there was not a single official organization or body uniting all technical authors across Ukraine). Apart from establishing friendly relationships with club members and helping each other in job-related predicaments, we have always strived for the highest standards of technical writing. Therefore we would love to see more seasoned professionals, as well as entry-level writers, join our club, from all over Ukraine! Word of the president Our software industry has made a giant leap from a new-born, emerging IT marketplace to a full-fledged software development powerhouse. It did not happen all of a sudden: hundreds of Ukrainian citizens gradually turned their start-up software-outsourcing companies into flourishing businesses. Jobs were created, more software development contracts have been won and successfully implemented, both in the USA and Europe. The biggest mistake now would be to rest on the laurels or regard software-related documentation as a "necessary evil". Therefore our club's prime concern is to further uphold and enhance the technical writing standards, while helping Ukrainian, and, in particular, Kharkiv, companies find prospective clients in the outsourced software development sector.
