ABOUT DDoS ATTACKS
According to the annual Worldwide Infrastructure Security Report published by Netscout, 2018 saw 49% of DDoS attacks targeting infrastructure, 41% online service and 34% cloud services (including mixed attacks). Losses per minute of downtime varied from $1,000 to $10,000 per minute with most attacks lasting multiple hours. Despite only 3% of attacks resulting in full loss of connenctivity, in 54% of instances internal protection systems were unable to detect and protect internal systems.

- Arbor Sightline system will detect an attack on your network in realtime. For most attacks of levels 3 and 4 of OSI model, security protocols will be triggered automatically within 3-4 seconds of detection. The covered attack types mainly include volumetric attacks and various UDP Amplification methods. PDF reports detailing detections and responses will be available on request.
- Access to Arbor Sightline account management where you can analyse in detail all network traffic and configure settings for BGP Blackhole and TMS. PDF reports detailing detections and responses will be available to download from your account.
- In your Arbor Sightline account you will also be able to configure groups of networks channels and be notified about activity on those - attacks, system actions etc.
- Break your network into parts by creating child sub-networks. Configure all settings and view detailed statistics and traffic analysis for each part of the network individually.
- If an OSI level 3 to 7 is detected, Arbor Sightline will redirect traffic to a subsystem cleaning service called TMS (Threat Mitigation System). This will guarantee protection from attacks of the highest level and provide the ability to clean traffic in a targeted manner. Simple Flowspec will also be enabled.
