Patriarch Josyf Slipyj Museum
UCU’s Josyf Slipyj Museum unites three periods of the patriarch’s life: Lviv, exile in Siberia, and Rome.

Student Life
A requirement for living in the collegium is participation in a two-year formation program. As part of the program, each student will be able to develop his or her skills and talents, to grow spiritually and morally, to become active in society and the Church.
The following criteria are used to assess applicants:
- Motivation: desire to join the collegium’s formation program
- Geography: students who live more than 30 km from Lviv
- Belonging to a special social category
Acceptance in the program and residence in the collegium happens through a competition based on the student’s personal application document.

The main goal of the creation of the collegium is to provide appropriate conditions for living and formation for students, according to the University’s Mission. To realize this goal, the collegium conducts an educational and formational program “Christian spirituality in the post-modern era.”
To create and ensure a special collegial atmosphere and to open students’ personal gifts and talents, the formational program includes the organization of spiritual-developmental, cultural-artistic, and sporting events planned during the academic year.
Life at the Collegium is interesting and busy! The residents can improve and develop their talents and interests in one of our groups.

Services
One of the best places for students to dine is the cafeteria of the Ukrainian Catholic University. Locals call it “the refectory.” This is a large area that can hold more than 300 people, with an open kitchen, that is, visitors can always see the cooks. The menu changes daily at UCU’s cafeteria. There is a selection of first and second courses and desserts. On Friday, no meat dishes are offered.
The staff at UCU’s “refectory” are employed by the holding company !FEST.
Students and staff receive discounts of 50% and 25%, respectively.
The collegium is a place where the university’s community is created. More than 200 students live, study, and work here. Also living here are teachers-curators, Redemptorist nuns, persons with special needs, and guest professors who travel in to teach at the university.
The goal of residing together at the collegium is not only to provide lodging for the students. Above all, this is an opportunity to lodge together in a circle of friends, teachers, curators, nuns, persons with special needs, and guests of the university with the goal of creating a collegial culture and community which is called to witness, communicate, and serve the modern world.
Building the collegium, the university’s administration departed from the “dormitory” approach to constructing student lodging. On the model of European and American colleges with a collegial culture and atmosphere, an environment was created in which the spirit of community reigns.
UCU’s conference center offers a full range of professional service in planning, organizing, and serving at events. Our many years of experience in conducting a variety of meetings help us leave you with an unforgettable impression so that you receive the expected results for your event.
For your meetings, we have available: two conference halls for from 120 to 350 people, 3 seminar rooms for from 25 to 30 people, 10 multimedia auditoriums for from 20 to 80 people, and halls for banquets and coffee breaks for from 30 to 350 people.
UCU has rooms for lodging located on the territory of the campus on the premises of the collegium.
There are 25 rooms (with two separate 1-person beds and with a large 2-person bed), which are available by the day, week, or month. Each room has complimentary Wi-Fi. All the rooms have a separate bathroom with a shower or bath, refrigerator, roomy closets, and convenient work spaces with writing desks. The rooms include a set of bed sheets, towels, and personal hygiene items. Also, there is on the floor of the premises a kitchen for general use (not for preparing food) with microwave ovens, teapots, kitchen utensils and drinking water.
The collegium has a laundry room. Guests can also dine in the cafeteria located in an adjacent building.
The collegium building is located near one of Lviv’s largest and most beautiful parks, Strysky Park. The convenient location allows guests easy access to the center of the city (20 minutes by foot), the airport, railroad station, and also other UCU buildings. UCU’s campus was built in 2012 and designed based on innovative architectural models, combining contemporary architecture and landscaping solutions.
