Report on the results of
VII International Trade Fair
Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy - 2014

The VI International Investment Business Forum on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and VII International Trade Fair «Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy - 2014» were held in the International Exhibition Centre (15, Brovarskyi Ave.) in Kyiv on November 4th to 7th. These key events were devoted to the issues of energy saving of traditional fuel and energy resources and increase of renewable sources of energy use.

On October 1st, 2014 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the National Action Plan on renewable energy up to 2020. Use of the renewable energy sources is one of the most important directions of Ukrainian state energy policy. Today the renewable energy develops rapidly and dynamically due to the country's consequent and balanced policy in this direction.

The list of honorable guests shows the significance of the issue of energy saving and renewable energy development in all spheres of country's economy.

On 4th of November the official opening ceremony was attended by:
- Volodymyr Kistion — the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine
- Andriy Mokhnyk — the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine
- Ihor Shvaika – the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine
- Serhii Savchuk — the Head of State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine
- Walter Tretton — the Head of Operation Section for Energy, Environment, Transport, EU Delegation to Ukraine
- Anatoliy Tkachenko — Director General of the International Exhibition Centre
- and other honorable guests.

Traditionally, after greeting words, guests observed the innovative developments of domestic and foreign manufacturers, scientists, inventors for applying in various spheres of national economy. These developments were represented at the trade fairs’ expositions, which took place simultaneously with the exhibition «Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy» in the International Exhibition Centre: XII International Water Forum «AQUA UKRAINE», XII International Trade Fair «CommunTech», V Trade Fair «RoadTechExpo», IV Trade Fair «EuroBuildExpo», ІІ Trade Fair «Industrial Ecology», XI International Agroindustrial Trade Fair «AGROFORUM». Such combination of the professional exhibition events supplementing each other created the unique demonstration platform. 305 companies represented their achievements on the area of nearly 12 000 sq.m. They demonstrated products of the best world manufacturers from 19 countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and the USA).

Stands of 69 companies-participants of «Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy - 2014» trade fair made it possible for visitors to make sure about our country's wide potential capabilities and to get acquainted with the best samples of energy efficient equipment, industrial and everyday life materials, technologies of alternative types of fuel and renewable sources of energy use.

This year the list of participants was contributed by companies,
which represented their products and services for the first time:

«ISE Ukraine» (importer of solar collectors, solid fuel boilers; manufacturer of solid universal long burning boilers), «ZAT ERGO» (manufacturer of solid fuel boilers, ovens, stoves, oil and dry transformers), «Сompany ION» (development and production of electrode ionic boilers), «Teploenerhiia Ukraina» (original insulation systems development and manufacture), «Jakir» (delivery and application of insulation of Icynene® company, Canada), «Arsenal - A» (induction lightning devices manufacture), «Pro - energy» (projects on biomass and biogas processing, sewage treatment and installations of the individual heat thermal stations), «Henkel Bautechnik Ukraine» (represents products under trade marks Ceresit, Thomsit, Moment, Metylan at Ukrainian market).

The direction of alternative types of fuel and equipment
for their manufacture was widely represented at the exposition.

Among the companies participating with their achievements in this sphere were: «Altgas» (biofuel briquettes producer), «Vin - Peleta» (biofuels), «Starovyzhivske fuel - peat» (wood pellets production and their implementation), «Ecogran» (wooden fuel pellets manufacture from coniferous trees), «Denasmash», Poltava Mechanical Plant (manufacture of equipment for granulation and pressing of fuel briquettes), «International Biofuel Company» (solid biofuel supply), «Uragan» (the official dealer of Pellas X Sp.z.o.o. Sp.k. — Polish manufacturer of the burners on biomass) and others.

The following leading companies offered their projects,
developments and production of renewable energy market:

«Alista» (the distributor of photovoltaic modules, inverters, controllers of China, Taiwan, Switzerland production), «Helios Strategy» (photovoltaic equipment distributor: solar panels, inverters, electrical generating systems (France), «Banisa Energy Ukraine» (boiler equipment and pellets production, as well as supply of alternative heat energy), «Star Energy» (the first national manufacturer of solar systems of TM Star Energy for hot water supply and heating support), «Helica» (official representative of TM SolarWorld (Germany) in Ukraine: solar batteries, heat pumps), «Apogey» (projecting, manufacture, installation and servicing of sollar collectors and heat pumps).

Autonomous energy sources (solid fuel boilers)

were represented by the Ukrainian and foreign manufacturers: «Volyn-Kalvis», «Metalist», Polytechnik Luft-Und Feuerungstechnik GmbH (Austria) etc.

The wide range of energy efficient equipment and technologies
as well as innovative technical solutions for applying in various branches

was demonstrated by well-known companies: «Stream-Niche Technology» (design, serial production and implementation of certified energy - efficient burners of SNT type), «PBM Gaz» (LED lamps «LedLamp» manufacture), «Radiy» (energy saving lighting manufacture), «Megawatt» (the representative of the Japanese corporation «Rinnai») and others.

Business program of International Investment Business Forum and exhibition covered such urgent questions as energy deficit overcoming, further development prospectives of wind energy sector, application of the European experience in the increase of energy efficiency in industry. Among the organizers of the events were: State Agency on Energy Efficiency, Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO), Swedish Trade Council and Invest Sweden, German Aerospace Company, Ukrainian Wind Energy Association.

Partnership with international organizations, implementation of common building projects, technical and consultation support in the solution of the topical issues on energy efficiency can be considered as stable steps of Ukraine to becoming an energy independent state.

Exhibition's aim is stimulation of renewable energy development, use of energy saving equipment and alternative types of fuel popularization. Professional representation of the participants of VII International Trade Fair «Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy - 2014» and target audience of the visitors show that the aim has been achieved.
