In 2017, Invogue#Art became an official partner and the head of the art program of Odesa International Film Festival. This time the gallery will introduce a project The Cold Faith that will focus on the synthesis of modern art, classic movies, and the image of an actress deeply rooted in the Odesa background. The exhibition will comprise the works of contemporary Ukrainian artists, museums exhibits, as well as an exhibition created specifically for the project.

The young Ukrainian artists taking part in the Cold Faith project will improvise on top of the storyboards from the films with Vera Kholodnaya creating their own art objects.

In addition, the exhibition will showcase the artwork of the older generation, which also relate to the topics of cinematography and credibility of the on-screen images. Among the artists participating in the project: Anatoly Gankevych, Igor Gusev, Serhiy Bilyk, Eugene Hodenko, Roman Mykhailov, Apl315, Roman Gromov, Dmitry Ehrlich, Nikolai Lukin, Oleh Dimov, Kateryna Buchatska and others.

"Working on the project, the curators Maria Tseloeva and Valery Karpan reflected on how movies make people imagine things that eventually penetrate into their world adjusting it. "Faith can be perceived as a way to escape from reality through a belief in the unseen, which gives it the characteristics of cinematography", says curator Maria Tseloeva. "On the other hand, we examine and endue with additional content artistic identity and cultural heritage associated with the personality of  Vera Kholodnaya".

"The Odesa Film Festival combines many directions - cinematography, business, art, music. Our main goal is the development of a national culture. Every year we strengthen and develop the art program for the film festival and we want OIFF to become a point of synergy for all directions and leaders of the Ukrainian cultural sector", says Viktoriya Tigipko, the President of the Odesa International Film Festival.

The Cold Faith exhibition, that will last from 16 to 29 July, will be accompanied by an educational program: lectures and meetings with people from the world of cinema, who will be able to explain from different sides what makes us still trust the cinema and believe in it. Among the participants of the educational program are Nadia Zavarova (movie critic, editor of the "Cinema" section on Cultprostir), Volodymyr Yatsenko and Yaroslav Lodygin (producer and director of the movie "Voroshylovgrad"), film director Kateryna Gornostai, movie critic Andriy Alferov.

Alongside the main exhibition in the Invogue#Art gallery, several projects will be represented by partner institutions: the Museum of Modern Art of Odessa, concept laboratory "Artery", Experimental Center of Contemporary Art "Tea Factory", HudPromo art gallery, the Municipal O.Bleschunov Museum of Private Collections, and the public space "Green Theater".
