REPORT ON THE RESULTS OF
INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR MINING INDUSTRY EXPO - 2016

On November 8-10, 2016 the International Trade Fair of mining and coal industry equipment and technologies "Mining Industry Expo - 2016" was held in Kyiv at the International Exhibition Center. The trade fair is currently the only exhibition event in Ukraine, specialized in the field of coal and ore mining engineering. Despite the remoteness of Kyiv from the major Ukrainian coal and ore mining regions, "Mining Industry Expo - 2016" caused great interest among the participants - manufacturers and suppliers of mining equipment as well as visitors - representatives of mining companies from Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lugansk and other regions.

The trade fair was attended by 99 exhibitors, including 14 foreign companies, from 7 countries (China, Czech Republic, Germany, Iran, Poland, Serbia, Ukraine). The exhibitors presented their achievements in the development and production of mining, mineral processing equipment and technologies, drilling machinery and tools, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, mining transportation, conveyor systems and materials, electrical equipment, industrial automation and control, safety and occupational health products and systems.

Iranian manufacturer of crushing equipment TEKNOTAK presented at the trade fair it's Hydrocone 45 crusher of 20 tons weight and production capacity of 290 tons/hour.

Polish exhibitor HOSCH Techniki Transportowe Polska Sp. z.o.o. presented to Ukrainian miners it's conveyor belt cleaning systems, including sprung blade, head pulley scrapers, the use of which reduces production costs and increases the profitability of mining companies.

Also among trade fair's novelties the four-axle dump truck KrAZ-7133S4 was presented by AutoKrAZ. Trade fair visitors appreciated it's large payload capacity and cabin comfort.

Among the trade fair participants - the leading European companies: Joy Global, T Machinery, OHE Mining, Schneider Mining, Globex, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Zeppelin, Marco, Ukrainian companies: Yasinovatskiy Machine Building Plant, ELMІZ, Miner's Light plant, Dneprofmash, Machine Building Plant VISTEK, Large Electric Machines Plant, DET-UA, Genestho, Saturn Data International, Deyta Express, and others.

"Mining Industry Expo - 2016" was held simultaneously with international trade fairs "Power Engineering for Industry" and "OilGasExpo" which topics complements each other and make the event even more strong and interesting. Trade fairs covered the total exhibition area of about 5.500 sq.m with over 4500 registered visitors.

At the same time in other IEC pavilions of total area of about 16 thousand square meters international trade fairs "Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy - 2016", "AQUA UKRAINE - 2016", "Industrial Ecology - 2016", "CommunTech - 2016", "RoadTechExpo - 2016" and "EuroBuildExpo - 2016" were held. Simultaneous holding of events for related industries expanded the scope of presented industrial products and ensured a significant increase in the number of visitors which total number exceeded 12,000. The major part of the trade fairs audience was made of companies executives and management, who aimed not only to look over the exhibits, but also to find specific technologies and equipment for their production, to hold preliminary negotiations on the purchase of products. Exhibitors noted the number and quality of visitors, the efficiency of business contacts.

November 8 the opening ceremony of the XIV International Forum "Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future" and international trade fairs "Power Engineering for Industry - 2016", "Mining Industry Expo - 2016", "OilGasExpo - 2016" was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Halyna Karp, Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Serhiy Chekh, Senior Vice President of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Serhiy Prokhorov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Macedonia to Ukraine Stole Zmejkoski, General Director of the IEC Anatoliy Tkachenko, representatives of the diplomatic corps, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and other distinguished guests. Halyna Karp pointed out in her speech that "the desire to become an energy independent country encourages us to reforming the industry, attracting investments, opening a new business environment, introducing new technologies and improving producers' efficiency". She also stressed that by holding the Forum the Ministry makes its contribution into strengthening the state energy security and the country as a whole.

November 8, the conference "Ore & Coal Tech. Mining and mineral processing technologies for coal and ore mining industry" was held within the framework of the "Mining Industry Expo - 2016". Among the participants of the conference there was the market leader of mining equipment in Ukraine, the manufacturer known around many countries of the world - Corum Group, with the presentation of new models of longwall shearers CLS450 and CLS400V.

November 9, Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine held the Sector Workshop: Coal industry "Problems, solutions, development prospects" within the framework of the XIV International Forum "Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future".

Most participants were satisfied with their participation in the trade fair, many of them pointed out that the number and quality of contacts even exceeded their expectations, and expressed confidence in taking part in the next year event.
