REPORT ON THE RESULTS OF
IX INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR
ENERGY EFFICIENCY. RENEWABLE ENERGY - 2016

The leading event took place on November 8-10 under the roof of International Exhibition Centre (15, Brovarsky Ave., Kyiv, Ukraine). Its aim was to find the ways of reducing the energy resources consumption, carrying out the energy saving policy and measures for energy saving in all branches of economy, development of alternative sources of energy, attracting of investments into the renewable energy and creating of competitive market in this area.

International Trade Fair «Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy» (Organizer: International Exhibition Centre) has been uniting for nine years already the leading domestic and world market players, representatives of authority and business. It is the activity of achievements and perspectives of Ukraine on the way to energy independence.

The composition of honored guests, who took part in the opening ceremony on November 8, shows the importance of such level event, the topicality of energy efficiency issues in the real sector of economy:

The use of alternative and renewable sources of energy – is an important factor of increasing the energy safety of the country. It proves the qualitative composition of participants and expansion of geographical boundaries. This year at the exposition 97 enterprises represented their achievements. In general, the production of the following manufacturers was demonstrated at the exposition: Ukraine, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, Turkey and others.

Positive tendency of this year exhibition – demonstration by participants the natural examples of products in dynamics (boiler equipment, heat pumps, energy effective lightning, wind generators and solar panels).

On the open space the developer and supplier of mounting systems of PV modules Ukrainian Systems Solar Ltd. (Ukraine, Kyiv) represented the active solar tracker – the device for tracking the position of sun and orientation of construction in order to get the maximum efficiency of solar panels.

Zavod Kobzarenka Ltd. (Ukraine, Sumy region) represented directly in the work the heavy-duty wood chipper Eschlböck Biber 80, which is able to recycle into chip up to 150 cubic meters of wood per hour.

Thus, among this year foreign participants - enterprises, who have status of the world famous brands: EHW GmbH (Austrian manufacturer of equipment for pellet production), Enerstena Group (Lithuanian manufacturer of biomass boilers, flue gas condensers, furnaces and other technological equipment for biomass boiler plants), Fronius International GmbH (Austrian manufacturer of battery charging systems, solar electronics (inverters)), Ja Solar Investment Co. Ltd (the world leading manufacturer of high-performance solar batteries) and Jinko Solar Co. Ltd (Chinese manufacturer of solar panels).

The expansion of international cooperation was promoted also due to the participation of the representatives of the European companies. They had an opportunity to share their experience and help in searching of the common solutions at the stands of embassies: Republic of Austria, Poland and Sweden.

Demonstrative and important example of the successful realization of the national programs on energy saving and implementation of energy efficient equipment of exactly domestic manufacturers, is the participation in the exhibition of the Ukrainian manufacturing companies, the number of which annually increases: ADS, Alt‑Energo, Ardenz Ukraine, Boiler Factory Kriger, Boiler‑Mechanic Plant Parkhomenko, Hydro Build Service, Lika‑Svit, Metalist, Peredovi Tekhnologii, Pervomaiskdieselmash, Prana Platinum and many others.

Creation and improvement from the government side the favorable conditions of doing business and attracting of the foreign investments into the renewable energy contributes to the successful work at the Ukrainian market already well-known companies - distributors and entering the new ones: Atmosfera, Helios Strategia, Rentechno, Stropuva Ukraine, Uragan, Utem Solar and others.

Today among the priority issues is the promotion of the use of boiler equipment on the alternative types of fuel, which not only substitutes the natural gas consumption, but reduces the emissions of pollutants into atmosphere as well. Representatives of this sphere are: Daesung Celtic, Inter‑Norm, Starovyzhivske Fuel‑Peat and Vin‑Peleta.

List of participants

Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine and State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, with the support of which the event took place, today actively works on improvement of the legislative framework. It should approach Ukraine to European model of consumption and accounting of energy resources. The theme of energy saving was highlighted during the number of activities, among which were: «Move towards energy efficiency and renewable energy sources: what’s new?», «Energy efficiency in housing sector», «Up-to-date innovative energy effective building materials and technologies in the construction, housing and communal sectors», etc.

Kyiv City State Administration traditionally holds the activities in the framework of the exhibition. They determine the priority directions of the capital’s development, in particular regarding increasing of energy efficiency in Kyiv.

Detailed program

With the support of Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine the simultaneous conducting of International Trade Fairs of mutually complementary topics («AQUA UKRAINE», «CommunTech»/«RoadTechExpo», «EuroBuildExpo» and «Industrial Ecology») has become traditional. It promoted the expansion of branch composition of visitors, opportunities to demonstrate technologies, products and services to general public.

This year the platform of International Exhibition Centre has hospitably united under its roof over 360 companies at the area of nearly 16000 m². Simultaneous conducting of International Trade Fair «Power Engineering for Industry» with the complex of mentioned exhibitions allowed a number of interested specialists to enhance significantly the spheres of their professional interests. Target audience of visitors, which this year is more than 12000, shows the high popularity of the abovementioned events in Ukraine and far abroad and has good prospects for increasing of its scales and geography of exhibitors and visitors.
