Sayenko Kharenko’s counsel acted as coordinator of the 2nd Arbitration School

Olena Perepelynska, counsel with Sayenko Kharenko, acted as coordinator of the 2nd Arbitration School, held on 7-11 May in Kyiv and organized jointly by the Ukrainian Arbitration Association and the Students’ League of the Ukrainian Bar Association.
The intensive five-day program of the School included general and specialized courses in international arbitration. Trainings were held in the form of lectures, interactive workshops, and mock case. The working language was English. Among almost 30 participants there were representatives from Ukraine, Germany and Georgia.
The speakers included well-known arbitration practitioners from Ukraine, Russia, Poland, England, Latvia and Germany.
Students had the opportunity to visit the International Commercial Arbitration Court and Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and to meet with the President of these institutions Mykola Selivon.
Annual Arbitration School was launched by Ukrainian Arbitration Association to help young professionals interested in arbitration to gain knowledge and access to information and expertise of Ukrainian and foreign international arbitration experts. This year, the School aroused great interest among potential participants, the number of those wishing to participate in the School exceeded the number of available seats.
