REPORT ON THE RESULTS OF
IV INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR INDUSTRIAL ECOLOGY - 2016

The present-day platform for solving of ecological problems – IV International Trade Fair «Industrial Ecology – 2016» took place in the International Exhibition Centre on November 8-10, 2016. Exhibition’s tasks are popularization of green business maintaining by country’s enterprises, as well as increase of the public awareness level in the sphere of ecological safety.

In the opening ceremony took place:

Renewable Energy», «CommunTech», «AQUA UKRAINE» and «EuroBuildExpo»

After greeting words the honorable guests got acquainted with the latest solutions in the sphere of resource saving, low-waste and ecologically safe technologies, natural samples of energy efficient equipment for a wide range of branches of the national economy. It should be mentioned that this year the enterprises of the country showed great interest to the implementation of green technologies at their own manufacture, modernization of outdated equipment and minimization of its influence to the natural environment.

«Ukrekoprom» (Odesa, Ukraine) has its own manufacturing complex on industrial waste disposal and gave guests an opportunity in real time to track the utilization process directly from the manufacture itself.

Exposition of State Scientific and Technical Centre for Nuclear and Radiation Safety attracted a lot of specialists’ attention. The most popular equipment of the Centre, undoubtedly, was the mobile laboratory of radiation exploring RannidSONNI portable dosimeter‑radiometer Vasikka and other measuring equipment.

«Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority», SE presented the global campaign on environmentalization of ports. The essence of the programme is the air emissions reduction and the hazardous waste water disposal into the aquatory of the sea ports.

Services in the field of ecology and environmental management

were presented at the booths both new exhibitors and permanent ones: the industry leader - «Spetsenergocomplex», «Eco‑Energoprom», «Econad», «Inter‑Eco», «Ecoprotection», «Ecoexpert», «Tehnoekos», «Center of practical ecology». The number of companies‑participants in this segment shows that market is saturated with proposals of the environmental control permission documentation development.

That is not to mention the national manufacturers participation in the event: «Energomashekology», Consortium, «Proektremontazh», «Kharkiv Engineering Company». Gas cleaning projects in various industries, environmental and energy‑saving equipment for disinfection of air by UV‑radiation were well represented at the booths of the above mentioned exhibitors.

For the second consecutive year in the framework of «Industrial Ecology» Fair
«Special exposition of electric transport»
was being placed in the International Exhibition Centre territory

Intense interest in exposition caused by the rapid development of electric transport market in Ukraine in recent years. Everyone interested had the opportunity to get acquainted with new models of electric cars of the most well-known international manufacturers: BMW, Nissan, Renault, charging sets, both domestic and foreign production, which were presented at the booths of the companies «ElectroKMAMK», «Z.E. Mobiles», «EcoCars», Association of electric cars market, «Blitz Avto». Goods for sports and leisure, in particular e-bikes and motorcycles, gyroscooters were represented by companies «Elite Bike», «TM Volta Bikes», Association «Energy».

In the framework of business program with a great success was held «All-Ukrainian Forum of Ecologists» (organizer: Media-Pro, Publishing House). During Forum were discussed the most urgent issues of industrial ecology: basic changes in ecological legislation in 2016, organization of manufacturing ecological control, administrative responsibility for violation of environmental legislation, enterprise’s ecological audit. The biggest value of the seminar consisted in the opportunity of all participants to communicate with narrators and get answers to all their questions.

Annual Scientific-Research Conference «Ecological Safety» (organizer: State Ecological Academy of Management) was devoted to issues on legal regulation and requirements for drawing up the reports on ecological audit, practical aspects of establishment and adjustment of sanitary‑protection manufacturing zones and problems of hazardous waste disposal. Visitors noted the high relevance of the raised issues.

Speakers, namely, representatives of Administration of the President of Ukraine, Microsoft Ukraine and Check Point Software Technologies Ltd represented the case of successful practices in the sphere of electronic government and shared the experience on implementation of these technologies during Seminar «Management system of knowledge, work processes and electronic workflow. Data protection» (organizer: the State Scientific and Technical Centre for Nuclear and Radiation Safety).

Detailed program

One of the most popular activities during the conducting of exhibition was free of charge collection of the used fluorescent lamps from population «#Hand over a lamp!» (organizers: International Exhibition Centre, Ltd. and Ecological Investments, Ltd.). The aim of the activity was informing the population about the proper treatment of hazardous domestic waste and necessities of its utilization. The activity aroused great interest of the media and users of social networks. The event was highlighted at the several central TV channels of the country and in the number of Internet‑editions. 919 fluorescent lamps, 65 kg batteries, 6 kg of used electrical engineering and 56 thermometers were collected during all days of the exhibition. We hope that the number of ecologically conscious citizens will increase every day!

International Trade Fair «Industrial Ecology» is traditionally an integral part of thematically related branch expositions («AQUA UKRAINE», «CommunTech»/«RoadTechExpo», «Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy» and «EuroBuildExpo»). It gave specialists an opportunity to get the complete information about the current condition of economy and tendencies of its development, track the changes of the branch legislative framework, compare and objectively estimate market offers.

Total area of exhibition project reached nearly 16000 sq.m. and united 362 participants under the roof of International Exhibition Centre. International Trade Fair «Power Engineering for Industry» took place simultaneously with the complex of the mentioned branch exhibitions. Exhibitions were attended by over 12000 specialists including managing and engineering employees of project, installation and construction organizations, sanitary‑epidemiological stations, ecological inspections, scientific‑research organizations, enterprises of metallurgical and engineering, mining, energy, chemical and petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical, agroindustrial branches and many other specialists.
