1) Citizen Power TV – 2012-DE-92 – Offener Kanal Magdeburg

Project description
Offener Kanal Magdeburg is a television broadcaster and one of the AGSA’s member organizations. The volunteer will have the opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of areas. The Volunteer will assist in the production of various programmes and films, particularly in the areas of script, camerawork and cutting. The volunteer will be involved in the recording of live events, such as concerts, theatres, debates, etc., and will also assist in the production of the intercultural youth magazine “Jugendstil” (“Youth Style)”. In addition, the volunteer will have the chance to produce his / her own film. Further areas of activity include general organizational tasks (such as technical work, archiving, programming, etc.) as well as assistance in the presentation of video workshops in schools and youth centers.
Volunteer profile
Volunteer with an interest and a talent for media design, culture and journalism. He/she should be creative, should have good communication skills and must be able to work independently, and willing to meet people with different cultural backgrounds.

2) Frida – 2013-DE-131 – Internationaler Bund/ children and youth club „Rolle 23“

Project description
The volunteer will work in the open daily work in the children and youth club “Rolle 23”, develop and create own offers for children and youngsters, care of the intercultural garden in the equipment, public relations for the equipment.
The volunteer will participate with other volunteers in activities in the local community: organization of Language café, planning and organizing events for Democracy, Tolerance and Europe, sharing their experience on our website and social networks, supporting the cooperation between the partner cities.
Volunteer profile
Volunteer should be able to work as part of a team, be initiative, creative, open-minded and be ready for new challenges. Also should be motivated to work in international environment. The knowledge of photo/video editing and graphic design is an advantage. Volunteer should be motivated to take part in artistic and sportive activities with kids and youngsters.

3) „Youngsters for Europe“ – 2013-DE-121 – Bildungsnetzwerk Magdeburg

Project description
The volunteers are going to work in the educational centre “Ottersleben” at the organization Bildungsnetzwerk Magdeburg. The volunteers are going to prepare and carry out international youth projects and educational projects, develop and create an independent media project on the subject Europe, exchange of information with partners and work in public relations.
The volunteer will participate with other volunteers in activities in the local community: organization of Language cafe, planning and organizing events for Democracy, Tolerance and Europe, supporting the cooperation between the partner cities.
Volunteer profile
Volunteer should be able to work as part of a team, to work on own initiative, to be creative and to have fun in trying out themselve. He/she should be open to new things and be interested in international and political work. Specific interests towards antiracism work and intercultural work or cultural interests or working with internet and photo/ video are an advantage, but not a condition. The young people shall be prepared to have flexible working hours and weekend work, with the possibility to make up for it.

Additional information for all projects:
Besides the duties related to each project, there are also common activities, in which every volunteer should be involved. To the sample tasks belong:
- Language Cafe, a meeting place for native speakers;
- activities and projects for democracy and tolerance in the local community (Mile for Democracy, Day of Sachsen-Anhalt, Europe week, Intercultural week and more);
- organize welcoming activities for refugees and other foreign people;
- support the cooperation between the partner cities of Magdeburg;
- share your experience together with other volunteers on our website and social networks.
Financial conditions
The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Program. All expenses for visa, insurance, accommodation, food and international travel costs are fully covered.
The accommodation for the volunteers is a shared community-flat, shared with European volunteers from ours and partner organizations. The volunteers will have their own room and share kitchen and bathroom with flat mates. Food money will be paid out to you every 1st of the month, the pocket money will be paid out on 15h every month as well as money to buy the local transportation monthly ticket, or instead you can get a bike.
The volunteers will have the opportunity to attend a regular German language course. The type of language course offered will depend partly on the volunteer’s language skills; volunteers with little or no knowledge of German will be able to attend an intensive three-week language course, and all volunteers will be able to attend a weekly course thereafter.
