Analysis: Coates spent the majority of the season dealing with the injuries in his fingers, derailing a productive campaign that began with 421 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the first five games. The remainder of the season, the wideout recorded just two receptions for 14 yards. With surgery out of the way, Coates can shift his focus to rehabbing, as he hopes to be ready for offseason workouts with the team. Carr, whose season ended due to a broken right fibula, suffered a fractured right pinkie finger in Week 12, The Mercury News reports.

Analysis: Carr's offseason focus will rightfully be rehabilitation on his right leg, but prior to the devastating injury, he was toughing out what was believed to be a dislocated finger at the time. In his first two games with the ailment in tow, he completed a measly 36 of 76 passes while averaging just short of 5.0 yards per attempt. He displayed increased comfort in his final two appearances, surpassing 60 percent passing in both outings, as he did in each of the first 11 contests of the year. After Carr went down for good in Week 16, the Raiders' fortunes were effectively sealed, losing out on the AFC West title in the regular season finale and dropping out of the postseason, 27-14, to the Texans in the wild-card round. If all goes as planned in his recovery, he should be healthy enough to take part in the majority of the offseason program.

Gordon (hip) didn't suit up for the Chargers' final three games due to a PCL sprain in his left knee, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Analysis: Gordon suffered what was eventually a season-ending knock in Week 14, but the ailments were merely termed a hip strain and knee sprain at the time. With the latter clarified, it's no surprise that he was unable to make a return to the lineup, bringing a breakout campaign to an abbreviated end. Falling just shy of 1,000 yards rushing in 13 games -- 997, to be exact -- Gordon also corralled 41 of 57 passes for 419 yards and scored 12 touchdowns.
