Here are a few answers to the most commonly asked questions.

What is the course time limit?

A: Both courses will have a 90 minute time limit. 10K runners should maintain a 15 min/mile pace, 5K runners should maintain a 20 min/mile pace. All walkers should register for the 5K, due to city road closure requirements. 

If I cannot make race can I get a refund or transfer my entry?

A: All participant entries are non-refundable. However, if you would like to transfer your entry to another person there will be a $15 transfer fee. Please contact us here to receive instructions on how to transfer your entry. 

Is there an age minimum for the 5K or 10K Adult Runs?

A: 7 years old. For younger participants, parents are encouraged to run with their child in the Chargers Kids Fun Run.

What is the age limit for Chargers Kids Fun Run?

A: 4-12 years old. Children under 7 should also run with a parent or guardian.

Can parents participate in the Chargers Kids Fun Run with their child?

A: Yes, parents are more than welcome to participate in the Chargers Kids Fun Run with their child. Parents will not need to register themselves if they are running with their child. This is a Fun Run for Kids, please no adult entries.

Can I run in the 5K or 10K with a jogging stroller?

A: YES BUT STROLLERS ARE STONGLY DISCOURAGED – For the safety of other runners and walkers you will be asked to start in the very back of the race and remain with other runners and walkers who also have strollers. Note: you will be required to exit the stadium back up the tunnel ramp after you finish because all other exits are via stairs.

Can I run in the Chargers Kids Fun Run with a jogging stroller?

A: Parents may run with a stroller in the Chargers Kids Fun Run. Just as in the adult race, we ask that you start near the back of the kids pack.

Are “Corporate Cup” team registrations available after online registration closes?

A: No. If you would like to register a team, you must do it prior to online registration closing or the race selling out (whichever occurs first).

How do I change my registration to a team registration if I signed up as an individual?

A: Please contact us here the name and mailing address you registered with, and provide the name of the team that you would like to join.

Will there a bag check?

A: We will not have a bag check and bags are not permitted inside the stadium. Please refer to the NFL Bag Policy.

Will there be toilets on course? 

A: Yes, there will be toilets located at both water stations as well as an ample supply at the start line. 

Can I run with my dog? 

A: Sorry, no dogs are allowed in the 10K, 5K and kids run.

Can my family and friends watch me cross the finish line? 

A: Yes! Your friends and family will be able to watch the finish from the stadium seats. Please note, only participants of the race will be allowed on the field. 

How do I get the latest information on the Bolt to the Q event?

A: Join the email newsletter or Like us on Facebook. A week before the race we will send you the FINAL INSTRUCTIONS. Please read it carefully as you will be given all the information you will need. 

What are the Award divisions?

A: Award Divisions are Top 3 overall in the 5K and 10K race and top 3 in each age group (age groups are as follows: 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ age groups) There will also be a prize for the fastest male and female runner in the 40 yard dash (last 40 yards before finish). Overall winners will be excluded from age group awards. There will be no age group award ceremony, please pick-up age group awards at the conclusion of the event- age group awards will not be mailed post event.

Simply contact us and we will send you the discount code to use before you register. Please note we will not issue refunds, so make sure you get the code before you purchase your entry. Thank you for your service!

Elite Athletes

A: Bolt to the Q welcomes elite athletes to our event. Athletes may be provided complimentary entry into the race on a case by case basis. To qualify for an elite entry, athletes should submit proof of finishing results here. The following time standards are used as guidelines: Men 15:30 5K, 33:00 10K; Women 18:00 5K, 37:00 10K.
