Closed Captioning
What Is It?
Closed captioning displays the audio portion of a television program as text on the TV screen, providing a critical link to news, entertainment and information for individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Congress requires video programming distributors (VPDs) - cable operators, broadcasters, satellite distributors and other multi-channel video programming distributors - to close caption their TV programs.
How It Works?
Jaguars.com now offers closed captioning on all videos. NOTE: Closed captioning will be available on videos 48 hours after published to jaguars.com. Upon clicking a video, you will be redirected to the video player, along with the immediate start of a video pre-roll. After the pre-roll has concluded, click the closed captioning button and a separate window will appear.
Where Is It Located?
The closed captioning option is located in the bottom right-hand corner. A separate window will appear in the lower corner of the video. Click the second closed captioning option and the text will then be visible on your display.
The Jaguars now offer closed captioning to fans on game day at EverBank Field through CaptionCast. To access, please click HERE and enter Event ID “Jaguars.”
