Mazda Motorsports boasts the most comprehensive auto racing development ladder system of any auto manufacturer, culminating with the two-car Mazda Prototype team which races in the top level of IMSA sports car racing. The Mazda Road to 24 driver development program offers a number of scholarships to help drivers move up the sports car racing ladder. The Mazda Road to Indy is a similar system in open-wheel racing, which includes three Mazda-powered categories. In grassroots racing, more Mazdas road race on any given weekend in North America than any other manufacturer. The new MX-5 Global Cup car is the fourth-generation Miata that will see race action around the globe in 2016, in addition to third-generation MX-5s that will compete in the IMSA Continental Tire Series where Mazda racers won the team and driver titles in the ST category in 2015.

Since 2014, nearly 20,000 high school students across the nation have seen the Mazda Prototype cars up-close as a part of Mazda’s extensive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) national-touring educational program called Racing Accelerates Creative Education (R.A.C.E).

Mazda North American Operations is headquartered in Irvine, Calif. and oversees the sales, marketing, parts and customer service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico through nearly 900 dealers. Operations in Canada are managed by Mazda Canada, Inc., located in Ontario; and in Mexico by Mazda Motor de Mexico in Mexico City.
