Metinvest today We are a fast growing international vertically integrated mining and steel company. Our production facilities are located in Ukraine, Europe and the USA. We sell our products to 75 countries worldwide. We are striving to become a leading vertically integrated steel producer in Europe.

Metinvest at a glance Metinvest Group unites the enterprises of the entire mining and metals industry: from coal mining and metallurgical coke production, iron ore mining and production of iron ore steelmaking raw materials downstream to crude steel production and manufacture of rolled products and pipes.Four companies within Metinvest Group support the production activity performing sales of the Group’s products with other two providing the logistics and transportation services to the producing enterprises of Metinvest.

Principles of management

Supervisory Board Supervisory Board is the supreme body of strategic management of Metinvest Group. The Supervisory Board is responsible for key decisions related to the Metinvest’s activities, including: approval of Metinvest’s long-term business strategy and annual business plans; annual assessment of the delivery on business plan targets; appointment of the top management, approval of their compensation system and KPIs and decisions on annual bonuses; approval of the external auditor; aapproval of the Group’s annual reports and financial statements and all M&A transactions.

Profile committees Supervisory Board comprises four profile committees: Strategy and Investments Committee; Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Committee; Audit Committee; Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

Our business

Mining division Metinvest is the largest iron ore producer in Ukraine, was the sixth largest producer globally in 2009.

Metallurgical division The Steel & Rolled Products division unites the steelmaking, flat and long products and large diameter pipe manufacturing enterprises of Metinvest. In 2009, the division produced 7.0 million tonnes of crude steel and 4.5 million tonnes of semi-finished (conticast slabs and square billets), 4.2 million tonnes of finished products and 0.5 million tonnes of pipes. Metinvest is ranked amongst the ten largest steel plate producers in the world, placed 28th largest steel producer in the world according to WSA and the second largest producer of steel in Ukraine, having produced 24.0% of all steel manufactured in the country in 2009.

Supply Chain Management

Sales The enterprises of Metinvest Group manufacture a variety of products: from steelmakers’ raw materials (BF coke, iron ore concentrate and pellets) and chemicals produced by our coke and chemicals assets to the vast assortment of high-quality steel products and SAW line pipes. Metinvest exports a substantial portion of its steel products to over 1,000 customers located in more than 75 countries through its broad international sales network which is covering most of the key regions in the world.
