NWCN is one of the largest regional news networks in the country. Besides NWCN, the other regionals that make up the super seven in the industry are New England Cable News, News12 Long Island, New York 1, NewsChannel 8, serving DC,VA and MD, CLTV in Chicago and Bay News 9 in Tampa.

The channel celebrates its 20th anniversary in Dec. 2015. In addition to originating its own news content from the region, the station aggregates and repurposes content from the Gannett’s powerful affiliate stations in Seattle, Portland, Spokane and Boise.

Currently, NWCN has almost three million subscribers. Although most viewers see us through the many cable operators that carry NWCN, the network is also carried by DISH Network, a major satellite company.Our programming is a mix of live and replayed newscasts on a 24/7 wheel configuration. We have the ability to zone our breaks outside of Seattle, which is attractive to advertisers around the region. NWCN also frequently updates the latest information with its unique ‘15/45’ newsbreaks..

In addition to newscasts, NWCN also produces a nightly half-hour sports program, ‘Northwest Sports Tonight,’ featuring not only highlights of Northwest sports but also interviews and commentaries from well-known athletes and journalists. On the lighter side, NWCN offers a weekly show hosted by master gardener Ciscoe Morris. ‘Gardening with Ciscoe’ airs on Fridays at 6 p.m. NWCN prides itself in knitting together the news fabric of the Northwest.
