Erica Garner is the eldest daughter of Eric Garner, a man choked to death by the New York Police Department (NYPD) on July 17, 2014. 24-year-old Erica, a Brooklyn native and self-proclaimed "Daddy's Girl," has put into practice her firmly held beliefs in leading by example through the creation of her non-profit organization, the Garner Way Foundation.

Dedicated to fighting police brutality, inequalities in the legal system, and institutionalized racism, the organization is embodied through Erica's frequent involvement in community-based political engagement.
