Providence fans, I'm sure, won't like a No. 5 seed off the bat, but it's a very respectable position. It won’t be easy, not with your first-round game against very underrated Valparaiso, but, in my opinion, if the Friars can get past their first two games I like their chances to take down North Carolina.
Here is the bottom half of the East Region.
Dayton may look over-seeded in this bracket, but get a load of this. The Flyers have the 13th-best RPI, the 40th most-difficult schedule and are 4-1 against the Top 50. This may change as the rest of the season unfolds, but for now they're rewarded. A lot of underrated teams in this region . . . especially Texas under the radar at No. 6.
Here is the bottom half of the Midwest Region.
Oklahoma is given no favors as the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament. A bracket with Maryland, Kentucky, Duke and Arizona seemed like an impossibility over the years, but a couple down years puts them all in the same region. Luckily for the Sooners, those other teams will have to beat up on each other first to get a crack at Buddy Hield's squad.

Surprise! Oregon gets on the top line on the strength of the third overall RPI AND third-strongest schedule. By the way, the Ducks also have a whopping SEVEN Top 50 wins. Their reward? Iowa as the No. 2 seed and Iowa State as the 3. Boy, would that be a fun rematch. Thanks committee ;)
