Starting conditions
Today, Ukrainian business environment is uncertain about where to go next. Where in fact is business heading? What can consolidate Ukrainian companies in order to be competitive in foreign markets? Vision of Ukrainian business is by all means a strategic priority question for economic development of Ukraine. Vision is a picture on the basis of which a strategy is built.
At present, we, as a business school, consider it obvious to redirect our clients and partners and shape business projection into the future for business. Vision still remains something obscure for our country in general. Often, this situation is projected onto our businesses and sometimes on our personalities.
It is important to learn to work with the future:
1) to compete with global players trying to be open to foreign experience
2) to implement ‘quick learning’ – more learning by doing
3) development of tangent directions to our business that make it possible to combine the laws of life and business (art, philosophy, sports).
Therefore, the UCU Lviv Business school (LvBS) shapes the projection into the future of Ukrainian business and thus establishes a VISIONARY CENTER. Ukrainian Catholic University and the UCU Lviv Business school is the right place for such creative intellectual processes. This is by all appearances one of the few universities to have a vision for 20 years. It hosts a special atmosphere of openness, honesty and truthfulness that our society lacks so much, while the quality criteria is influential in the process of study.
Experience in the field
During 2009-2012, LvBS team implemented a range of events in this sphere:
- in 2010, ‘Intro’ International visionary business conference was held
- in 2010-2011, the research was conducted on ‘The Development of Global Leaders of the Future within the Context of Central and Eastern Europe”. The project was implemented in cooperation with Ashridge Business School, UK. It published Ukrainian and English version of ‘Competencies of Responsible Leaders within the Context of CEE countries’
- in 2013 ''The phenomenon of demand: how to become a visionary of customer's desires'' conference and master - class for LvBS Community ''How to create an explosive demand?'' by Adrian Slywotzky.
- a regular discussion club Business Credo is held – these are meetings of business with moral and social leaders in Ukraine.
