the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Ukraine The Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts KSADA Leader in the national rankings of universities - it is founded in 1921 - it has 4-th level of accreditation - there are following qualifying levels: the bachelor, the expert, the master Full-time Tuition : - industrial design - graphic design - multimedia design - interior decoration and design - art modelling of clothes - art modelling of fabrics - design of furniture - graphics - easel painting - easel and monumental sculpture - monumental painting - the theory and history of art (art criticism) - restoration of easel and monumental painting Tuition by Correspondence : - industrial design - graphic design - interior and the equipment - design of furniture - easel painting - graphics - art criticism The Kharkov state academy of design and arts (KSADA) is well familiar to experts, as one of the most outstanding higher educational institutions of design and art direction of Ukraine, having long and an interesting history.
Traditions of the Kharkov art and design education take sources from second half XV²²² when professional art education in Ukraine was begun. Still at Kharkov Kollegium (the predecessor of the Kharkov university) the class of drawing was open. In 1805 relay race of art education has passed to university where the class of figure was created. And at last in 1869 the private school of drawing of M.Raevska-Ivanova where developed, â÷àñòíîñòè, and an art - industrial direction which in due course has given a push to creation on this ground and our Academy was open. In general for cultural - art tradition of Kharkov mutual penetration of art and nonproduction education which has developed in end of Õ²Õ - the beginning of XX century is inherent. The Kharkov art school, having absorbed experience of the last generations, was guided classical St.-Petersburg Academy of arts, and "the design branch" developed under powerful influence of the Kharkov institute of technology which on break Õ²Õ-ÕÕ, during rough development of the domestic industry, appeared in avant guarde of a commercial crop of time. The tradition of mutual penetration art and art-industrial education was picked up by the Kharkov art-industrial institute reorganized from the Kharkov state art institute in 1963 which in 2001 was transformed into the Kharkov state academy of design and arts. KSADA is educational-scientific and cultural-art centre where vocational training is carried out in the field of the fine arts and design, preparation of post-graduate students is conducted, the newest curriculums are developed and scientific researches are carried out, numerous cultural-art actions and creative actions are realized. The Kharkov art school restores an educational politics on the basis of mutual enrichment of various kinds of design-art creativity that has found an embodiment in structure of training. Each of directions of preparation (artists and designers) is formed in the appropriate îáðàçîâàòåëüíî-scientific divisions which basis is represented by letting out faculties where actually and there is a preparation of experts. On a background of 90-years history of existence of our educational institution precisely outlined traditions, but experiment and the search inherent in creative activity are traced, always take place and are encouraged in educational process.
