      Benjamin (undisclosed) wasn't in attendance at the portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.

      Analysis: During Sunday's tie in Cincinnati, Benjamin sustained a hit by linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who was quite the menace but suffered a concussion himself. The nature of Benjamin's potential absence is unknown, but an injury is the likely culprit. As the week rolls on, his status will be of interest, as he's quickly become established as Cam Newton's preferred target in the passing game. Through the first six games of his career, Benjamin has earned at least eight looks per game, while reaching the end zone on four occasions.

      Randle will take the field Sunday against the Giants in spite of his recent arrest for shoplifting, NFL.com reports.

      Analysis: Other than a significant fine handed down by the Cowboys, Randle won't face further punishment in the form of a suspension. As the only effective reserve running back on the Cowboys' roster, he could begin to garner more work as the season wears on and DeMarco Murray's (illness) carry count ticks ever higher. On the season, Randle has supplied 113 yards on 16 rushes, good for 7.1 YPC.

      Analysis: Coach Marvin Lewis indicated earlier this week that Green has a shot to play Sunday against the Colts, though at this stage such an outcome looks like an iffy proposition. More on Green's status no later than Thursday, after the wideout's practice status is determined.

      Boykin (groin) took part in practice Wednesday, Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin reports.

      Analysis: Boykin's activity level is unknown, but the appearance bodes well for his first game action since Week 3, when he suffered knee and groin concerns. Upon his return, though, he's unlikely to be much more than the fourth option in the Packers' passing attack due to the emergence of rookie receiver Davante Adams this past Sunday in Miami (six receptions for 77 yards on eight targets). In any case, keep a close eye on Boykin's practice participation as the weekend draws closer in order to gauge his chances of taking the field Sunday versus the Panthers.
