ESQUIRE NETWORK WINS REALSCREEN AWARD FOR 'ESQUIRE'S 80TH'
SANTA MONICA, Calif. - June 4, 2014 - Esquire Network and World of Wonder Productions took home a Realscreen Award this evening for ESQUIRE'S 80TH. The one-hour original production won in the category of Non-Fiction-Arts and Culture Program, besting other category nominees Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (CNN) and Mystical Journey: Kumbh Mela (Smithsonian Channel).
ESQUIRE'S 80TH was very first original program to ever air on the network, in September 2013. Narrated by John Slattery, the special features the magazine's most celebrated editors, writers and story subjects as they take a look at the people, politics and pop culture that shaped our lives over the last eight decades — all told through the signature lens of cover stories, images and seminal articles from the archive of Esquire.
