Around noon on Friday (September 12), Ji Cooper captured a photo of a funnel cloud in Destrehan, at the corner of Ormond Boulevard and Airline Highway.  Around that same time, meteorologists with the National Weather Service's Slidell office detected a strong thunderstorm near LaPlace. They also received multiple reports from New Orleans International Airport, indicating that a funnel cloud was associated with the storm.  ... Full story »
