The Deputy Speaker of Tibetan Parliament, Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, released two books in Tibetan by Geshe Beri Jigme Wangyal, a former Tibetan parliamentarian and a prominent Tibetan writer in Dharamsala, India on July 13, 2014.

Scores of Tibetans writers and lawmakers gathered in the conference hall of Library of Tibetan Works and Archives for the book launch gathering.

Geshe Beri Jigme Wangyal said that in the last more than two decades in exile, he has brought out 21 books on different subjects and the purpose of releasing his latest books with a launching ceremony was to make an impact on people's attitude towards Tibetan poems and writings.

Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, the chief guest applauded the works of Geshe Wangyal, and shared his personal view on the works of the writer, while urging him to continue with teaching his talents in writing to the younger generation as a service in preserving our culture.

Geshe Monlam Tharchin and Geshe Rongpo Lobsang Nyandak also shared their views on Geshe Wangyal's works.

Geshe Beri Jigme Wangyal is determined to bring out a next book on the history of Tibetan literature.
