Matt McMurry: The youngest racer in the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Sixteen-year-old Matt McMurry, from Phoenix, is about to become the youngest driver to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France next month.
The 91-year-old event is the oldest sports car endurance race in the world.
“It’s happening,” McMurry tweeted. “Going to Le Mans with @Greavesmsport. At age 16. Yes! Hoping to break 55-year-old record for youngest. #16atlemans.”

WATCH: Drivers hospitalized following horrific collision
Drivers Memo Gidley and Matteo Matucelli were hospitalized after a frightening high-speed, rear-end crash during the Tudor United SportsCar Championship’s Rolex 24 Hours at the Daytona International Speedway. World's first 360-degree backflip in a car
Check out the video. French stunt driver Guerlain Chicherit became the first person to perform a 360-degree backflip in a car. Chicherit drove his Mini toward the 25-foot high ramp at precisely 37 mph.
