Pro Bono Legal Services Alliance

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and global law firm, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP have created a pro bono legal services alliance. With this alliance, NEPCF will use its community outreach, which includes thousands of nonprofit organizations in New England, to identify potential clients that require legal services, but lack sufficient funding to pay for legal counsel. If the cases and the organizations meet NEPCF's and Morgan Lewis' requirements then Morgan Lewis will assist and provide the needed legal services without charge. For more information and to download the required intake form, please click here. For general program questions, you may email probono@patriots.com. For technical questions, you may email web@patriots.com.

Blood Drive

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation continues their efforts to increase awareness of the importance of blood and platelet donation with a blood drive at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Kraft Family Donor Center. During the drive all successful donors receive special Patriots-themed gifts and are entered into a drawing for autographed prizes.

Myra Kraft Community MVP Award

Each year, the Kraft family and the Patriots honor volunteers of the New England community for their service to nonprofit organizations around the region through the Myra Kraft Community MVP Awards. In 2011, the Kraft family and Patriots Charitable Foundation announced the renaming of the award to the Myra Kraft Community MVP Award, in honor of Myra's life-long commitment to giving to others through volunteerism. Each year, Myra Kraft Community MVP winners are recognized for their leadership, dedication and a commitment to bettering their communities during a luncheon at Gillette Stadium with a donation made in their name to the nonprofit organization for which they volunteer. Nominations traditionally open in the spring for 30 days. Please check back here for the most current information.

In June of 2013, the Perkins School for the Blind was awarded the $25,000 grand prize in honor of Joe Markarian, a 92 year old man who has spent the last 26+ years constructing well over 800 custom made learning devices for children who are blind, deaf blind or suffering from other learning disabilities.
Myra Kraft Community MVP Award Testimonial
By 2013 Grand Prize Winner: Joe Markarian | Perkins School for the Blind: $25,000 grant winner

"Perkins has done more for me than I have ever done for Perkins. Volunteering in the Assistive Device Center has given me the opportunity to feel like I have contributed to something important during my retirement years. I feel really honored and surprised by this recognition."

"I'm so grateful and so happy that Perkins is going to benefit from this. Perkins has done so much for me so I feel like I owe them anyway. I would really like to thank Myra Kraft because I think she had the big part to do with this."

Make-A-Wish

The New England Patriots are proud to team with the Make-A-Wish program in providing special experiences for children battling life-threatening illnesses. Children from across the U.S. are invited to visit Gillette Stadium for a day of making their wish to meet a Patriots player come true. The memorable day includes a meet and greet with the players, trips to The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon, personalized Patriots gear and more.

Scholarship Programs

Attention students! The New England Patriots want to help send YOU to college! In 2011, the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation will provide scholarships for New England inner-city youth who may not otherwise be able to seek higher education. The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation is committed to helping students attend college and has awarded scholarships to youth across New England over the past five years through various scholarship programs. Please continue to check here for updates on how to apply for scholarship opportunities.

Patriots Women's Association

Not only supporting their loved ones on the field, the Patriot Women's Association is committed to serving the New England community. New England Kids Triathlon

Triathlon is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and kids triathlons are a vital part of this trend. Race distances are set by USATriathlon (the governing body of the sport under the United States Olympic Committee) to be challenging, yet achievable and every race consists of four components – swimming, biking, running and transitions. There are two divisions in kids races with the juniors (10 years old & under) completing a 100 yard swim; three mile bike and half mile run. The seniors (ages 11 – 15) complete double the distances (200 yard swim; six mile bike; and one mile run).

For more information, please visit www.newenglandkidstriathlon.org

Patriots Kids Cafe

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and the Kraft family have partnered with The Greater Boston Food Bank to expand the Kids Cafe program. The purpose of the Patriots Kids Cafes, located within area Boys and Girls Clubs, is to provide hot meals for underprivileged children who may not receive one at home. Many times this is the only hot meal the child receives the entire day. Patriots Kids Cafes currently provides children with 262,500 meals per year at seven different locations: The West End House Boys & Girls Club, Chelsea/Gerald and Darlene Jordan Club, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester, The Blue Hill Club - George Robert White Youth Development Center in Dorchester, The Yawkey Club of Roxbury, Charlestown Club Keane Children's Center/Ansin Youth Center and South Boston Boys & Girls Club.

NFL Play 60

The Mission: To make the next generation of youth the most active and healthy.

The New England Patriots continue to team with the NFL for NFL PLAY 60, a national youth health and fitness campaign focused on increasing the wellness of young fans by encouraging them to be active for at least 60 minutes a day.

Designed to tackle childhood obesity, NFL PLAY 60 brings together the NFL's long-standing commitment to health and fitness with an impressive roster of partner organizations. In addition to national outreach and online programs, NFL PLAY 60 is implemented at the grassroots level through NFL's in-school, after-school and team-based programs. The NFL PLAY 60 initiative is prominent during the NFL's key calendar events, including Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, Draft, Kickoff and Thanksgiving and is supported by many NFL players and coaches year round.

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and Patriot players participate in numerous PLAY 60 events and appearances including the PLAY 60 Super School event which awarded the Henry Grew Elementary School in Hyde Park, MA with a grant of $10,000 for wellness programs. Patriots' players also participated in the Ultimate Gym Class with students from the school. Additional PLAY 60 initiatives include hosting children from the Chelsea Boys & Girls Club to join the cheerleaders on-field to welcome the team during a homegame.

Read Between the Lines

The Patriots "Read Between the Lines" program features Patriots' offensive and defensive linemen and  includes visits to local schools to promote reading and the importance of education. "Read Between the Lines" is filled with educational fun including a "Summer Reading Blitz" which challenges all students to set summer reading goals, followed by visits by Patriots linemen if students reach their reading goals.

Science Fair

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation teams with Raytheon and area Boys & Girls Clubs for the annual Science of Sports Science Fair at Gillette Stadium each spring. Teams of children work with Raytheon mentors on science projects which culminate in a science fair judged by celebrity judges Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft, Raytheon's Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Bill Swanson and a Patriot player. The winning teams are awarded scholarships toward education.

Totally Patriots

Totally Patriots kicks off Sunday mornings at 11a.m. on WBZ, with a look at what makes the Pats and their players different from all others in the league. Designated for the next generation of Patriot s fans, Totally Patriots features programming that invites groups of students to participate in an opportunity to interview Patriots players. Youth Football

FOOTBALL FOR YOU
Football for You is a free non contact football clinic presented by the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and the New England Patriots Alumni Club to encourage and excite the youth of our cities to participate in the game at which these players excelled. The clinic features former New England Patriots players serving as the instructors for the clinic, leading the participants through the fundamentals of offensive and defensive techniques and skills. The day concludes with a guest speaker and family barbeque.  The clinic is open to all children ages 11 –14, to experienced players or those just thinking about trying football for the first time. The charter of the New England Patriots Alumni Club is to give back to youth football in New England; we hope that this program will excite many students to play football at the next level.
