Since the inception of the Patriots Fan of the Year Award in 1987, the New England Patriots have presented 27 individuals with the Joseph R. Mastrangelo Memorial Trophy, honoring the fan or fans that best represent the spirit of the Patriots in their communities.

In 2013, three (3) semi-finalists were awarded with two (2) game tickets, two (2) pregame field passes and a $100 ProShop gift card. Each semifinalist was recognized on-field at a select game.

2013 New England Patriots Fan of the Year: Claire Bourgault

Claire Bourgault has been a registered nurse for over 30 years, dedicating her time taking care of
Veterans at the Providence VA Medical Center. Claire was instrumental in starting the
first homeless clinic at the VA Medical Center as well. Her accomplishments
for helping her community have been published in the Brown University Medical Journal.
