  • Peep The EXCLUSIVE Book Trailer For Marie Lu's 'Champion'

Confession: When a YA novel is being brought to the big screen, we don't usually get all hot and bothered over who's gonna be the dad, y'know? But then again, most YA novel dads aren't adorable, scruffy, pipe-smoking former punk rockers like the one in "If I Stay"—and they don't get played by fairly crushworthy actors with cute beards like Joshua Leonard. So, yeah, we're a little excited over the announcement from Deadline this morning that Joshua has been tapped to play Denny Hall, father to main character Mia, in the movie adaptation of Gayle Forman's book.

For the uninitiated, "If I Stay" is the story of Mia, who is the only one to survive a car accident that kills both her parents and her brother. Caught in a state of comatose limbo, she's faced with a choice: to return to the land of the living, or to just let go. (Or in other words, it's great that Joshua has joined the cast, but all things considered, we probably won't be seeing much of him.)

Put those puckers away!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Victoria Justice will star in the upcoming rom-com "Naomi + Ely's No Kiss List."

The project is based on the YA novel from Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (authors of “Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist”). In the flick, the former “Victorious” star will be joined by up-and-coming hottie Pierson Fode.

The movie revolves around childhood besties, Naomi and Ely, who have always crushed on one another, despite the fact that Ely is gay. The twosome head off to NYU where their friendship and their “No Kiss List” policy is put to the test when they both end up liking the same guy. The film will shoot in New York.

If you were one of the "Mortal Instruments" fans who was devastated by the news that production was halting on "City of Ashes" with no concrete plans to start again, now is the time to dry your little eyes and be joyous: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Constantin Films is back on board with plans to move ahead on the sequel! Yaaaay! Clearly, our campaign of standing outside the homes of the studio's major executives and hysterically sobbing whilst clutching a life-sized stuffed Jace Wayland doll has paid off in a big way.

Per the report, Constantin will relaunch production on the second film in the series next year, while using the last few months of 2013 to analyze why and how the first movie didn't do as well as they'd hoped. (Among the problems: Apparently, nobody realized that the "Mortal Instruments" fandom isn't entirely under the age of 18—which, as the adult editors of this blog and their life-sized stuffed Jace can attest, is obviously a Thing.)

It's early days for the People's Choice Awards nomination process—in fact, the announcement that noms are now open has so stirred the passions of the choosy people that, as of this writing, the site is too overloaded to actually function at all—but with so much on the line, it's vital that everyone get clicking to ensure that one of our most favorite young Hollywood gents takes his rightful place atop the ballot.

And by that, we mean that Channing Tatum is up for Favorite Movie Actor, which means the other nine dudes currently in that category (whoever they are, we didn't even bother to look) are inferior little trolls who must be defeated, and probably punished for their insolence, too.

What's your first Channing Tatum memory? If your answer includes the words "pop" and/or "lock," we have your weekend planned.

MTV is airing the Chan Man's seminal "Step Up" films (the original and "The Streets") back to back—twice. Consider it a Tatum Twofer-Twofer. It's not only an opportunity to refresh your dance moves, but also to watch Channing fall in love with real-life wife Jenna Dewan all over again. All together now: awwwww.

Like we said, you have two opportunities to gawk at the one-time Sexiest Man Alive. Your first is on Saturday at 7:55 p.m. ET/PT, followed by an encore presentation on Sunday at 11:25 a.m. ET/PT. Get it? Got it? Good! Now watch these cute Channing-centric videos, and we'll meet you on the couch Saturday night. (You bring the popcorn, and we'll bring the cold compresses.)

You've been waiting and waiting, and—finally!—the vampire hour is nigh. Earlier this year, MTV News hopped the pond to visit the London set of the big-screen adaptation of Richelle Mead's "Vampire Academy," and you're about to see what we saw. Yes, our EXCLUSIVE set visit will be airing Thursday, October 10 during primetime on MTV! And what's more, an extended look will debut online on MTV News the following day.

And that's just the start of our week dedicated to all things "Vampire Academy." On Thursday, stars Zooey Deutch and Lucy Fry will be stopping by the MTV newsroom for a chat with our own Josh Horowitz, so be sure to send your questions to @joshuahorowitz.

If you thought that the release of the final "Twilight" film last year meant the end of exciting new pop-culture ephemera of the sparkly vampire variety, well, clearly you've forgotten the most important part of the whole dang saga: it goes on FOREVER. Forever! Just like Edward and Bella and their bedroom furniture-shattering epic love! And just like this brand new, long-awaited box set featuring every last movie and then some, which is called (you guessed it) "Twilight Forever: The Complete Saga."

Forget your Edward Cullen body pillow or teensy Aro action figure that goes "Ahahahahah! Remaaaaarkable!" when you pull its string; this, right here, is the definitive must-have item with which to demonstrate your "Twilight" cred.

In case you hadn't noticed, 2014 is gearing up to be a very big year for people who like books that become movies—as various YA novels will be emerging all year from the Hollywood chrysalis, having morphed from stories on paper into cinematic butterflies that make all our dreams come true. And today, you can make two indelible marks on your calendar: one for the new release date of "The Maze Runner," and one for (commence nonstop excited shrieking on the part of Nerdfighters everywhere) "The Fault in Our Stars"!

Yep, that's right: You'll be able to see young lovers Hazel and Augustus in their big-screen glory on June 6, 2014 (according to studio Fox)—because nothing says "summer" like crying for days over the doomed romance of two perfectly lovely teenagers.

Whether you yearn to be one-degree of poly-cotton blend from Robert Pattinson's heaving bosom or simply believe in the power of higher education, "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke may have something you'll be interested in. The auteur is hoping to raise $10,000 to benefit University of California students, and as an incentive to donate, she's offering the chance to win the very V-neck Bella (Kristen Stewart) wore during her first kiss with Edward.

All you have to do is gift $25 to her Promise for Education page, and you'll be entered for a chance to own a piece of movie history. Whether you keep it hermetically sealed in a subterranean vault or wear it to bed every night while clutching your Edward Cullen body pillow is completely up to you.

It's getting hot in here—and it's not because of that five-alarm bean burrito you definitely shouldn't have had for lunch. (Though it would probably benefit all of us if you cracked a window.) No, the source of all that heat is the final poster for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" released today by Lionsgate.

The latest one-sheet is rather reminiscent of "The Hunger Games"' final poster, with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) aiming her bow and arrow at some unseen foe. Except this one has major swag in the form of scarlet flames everywhere. EVERYWHERE. (And on a style sidenote, I really like Katniss' hair down like that.)
