The organizing committee is preparing the 13th Exhibition & Conference “Inter-TRANSPORT” to take place in Odessa from the 28th till 30th of May 2014.

The Event is included into the plans of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Permanent International Secretariat (BSEC PERMIS). The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Odessa Region State Administration are coordinating the Forum. Traditionally the Conference programme and exposition are being formed under the support and with the active participation of Association of the Black and Asov Sea Ports (BASPA), Ukrainian Ports Association UKRPORT, association UKRVNESHTRANS, Association of Freight Forwarders of Ukraine, Register of Shipping of Ukraine, Odessa National Maritime Academy, Odessa National Maritime University, Association “Union of Port Operators”.

In 2014 in the framework of “Inter-TRANSPORT” there will be
- the XIIIth International Exhibition “Inter-TRANSPORT” on Transport, Ports, Logistics, Infrastructure and Equipment for Transportations and Cargo Handling Works;
- the XIIIth Conference “The Black Sea Area Transport Network: Complex of Communications between Europe, Asia and other Continents”;

In the Conference framework there will be Plenary Meeting and Specialised Sessions on the following themes:
The Black Sea area prospective transport network formation; The development of the trance – Black Sea intermodal system container lines, rail ferry and auto ferry lines for goods and passengers; Modern trends in ports development; Ports cargo handling/lifting technologies and equipment development; Ports hydro technical and coast protection constructions building, reconstruction, design and technical maintenance; SETREF Meeting (South-East European Transport Research Forum); Transport higher educational establishments: education and scientific research development; Grain Market Transport and Logistics Infrastructure Development.

More than 200 Conference Delegates – heads of the transport industry from 13 countries voted the official Address to the international institutions and governments of the Black Sea Region countries, in which they stated their suggestions for further development of the transport communications.. In 2013 at the XIIth International transport conference more than 80 reports were presented which caused lively discussions and professionals’ direct dialogue. 150 Conference delegates - leaders of the transport industry from 15 countries have adopted an official Address to the international institutions and governments of the Black Sea region, in which they made offers as to the transport links further development.

More than 156 companies (Ukrainian – 112, foreign – 44) companies from eighteen countries – Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, UK and Poland took part in the Exhibition in 2012. The visitors had an opportunity to get acquainted with the last achievements in the manufacturing of cargo handling equipment and transport means intended to facilitate the port infrastructure development. One of the leading successfully developed profiles of the Exhibition is hydraulic engineering. The profile dedicated to the grain market logistics and transport infrastructure “Agro-LOGISTICS” is being developed.

In the framework of the XIIIth International Transport Week “Inter-TRANSPORT” the specialised Exhibition & Conference on grain market transport and logistics infrastructure “Agro-LOGISTICS” will take place on the 28-30th of May 2014 in Odessa.

The International Conference and Exhibition on Sea, Rail, Road Transport, Infrastructure, and Cargo Handling and Transportation Equipment Development “Inter-TRANSPORT” is being held in Odessa for thirteen years.

The Event is included into the plans of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Permanent International Secretariat (BSEC PERMIS).

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine are coordinating the Forum. It is being held under the support and with the participation of the European Union. Traditionally the Conference programme and exposition are being formed under the support and with the active participation of Association of the Black and Asov Sea Ports (BASPA), Ukrainian Ports Association UKRPORT.

The project “Agro-LOGISTICS” is being prepared with the support and participation of Odessa Region State Administration, Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies.

BACKGROUND
• Transport infrastructure of the Black Sea region, ports capacities are the key links in the supply chain for agricultural transportations. According to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, trans-shipment of grain cargoes in Ukraine is made by 13 seaports.
• While transport capacities are being increased, infrastructure expansion is taking place and new players at the agro-logistics market are emerging it is necessary to get acquainted annually with the new operators, equipment, technologies, facilities.
• Familiarization with the whole spectrum of opportunities and the provision of integrated logistics services contributes to a measurable and sustained reduction of the transport component costs for all the operators of agricultural market.
