She was responsible for the business development direction “Materials and Tools to Ensure Work Safety” on the markets of Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Central Asia and Africa. From 2003 to 2009 Ms. Oliphant led the direction mentioned above in Europe. She was the transition manager for the Aearo Technologies acquisition. The last two years, Sophia was the head of business development in “Materials and Tools to Ensure Work Safety”for 3M in Central and Eastern Europe.

Paul has worked in marketing for over 25 years. He started out at Procter & Gamble and then went on to serve two stints at Coca-Cola - first in the US, and then later as marketing director for Central and Eastern Europe, and finally as managing director in Hungary.
In between the US and European Coke assignments, Paul ran his own advertising agency for 10 years in the US. In 2003 he founded the Garrison Group strategic consultancy based in Budapest and active throughout Europe including Russia and Turkey. The Garrison Group is highly involved in leading edge marketing with clients such as IKEA, Sony PlayStation, Telenor, Pfizer, AVON, UniCredit Bank, Efes, Intersport, Bayer, and, of course, Coca-Cola.

Dr. Serhiy Kovela is a scholar with extensive experience in Business IT and practitioner with expertise in delivering database-driven business software projects, locally and internationally. Through academic or commercial work he helps the audience to understand how IT enables and facilitates modern organisations and the efficient ways of deriving business value from technology solutions.
Serhiy Kovela earned his Master's and PhD degrees from the Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine, Lviv) in 1996 and 2000, respectively. From October 1999 till August 2003 he held Senior Lecturer position at Lviv Polytechnic teaching databases, security in computing and software engineering, as well as engaging in a number of IT consultancy projects as a database software developer and project manager.
Since September 2003 Serhiy Kovela has been assigned to the Senior Lecturer position at Kingston University teaching Internet systems technologies, global information technology, database systems, project management for technology, strategic project management, and consultancy practice.

Dr. Hans Le Fever obtained a PhD in experimental physics at Leiden and this early experience with the application of computers for scientific purposes landed him a job at Shell, where he spent 22 years in a variety of planning and IT Management functions. He has worked in areas with diverse cultures and levels of IT maturity. He concluded his corporate career in London exploring the digitization of finance processes as well as other innovations at the intersection of business and IT. Since 2003 he is an independent consultant serving Dutch (multinational) companies in the area of innovation and managing IT. His recent focus is on the change management aspect of benefits realization, in particular for industrial, manufacturing type organizations. He has shared his knowledge at various academic institutions, business seminars and in-company programmes. Thomas Bäck is head of the Natural Computing Research Group at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS). He received his PhD in Computer Science from Dortmund University, Germany, in 1994. He has been Associate Professor of Computer Science at Leiden University since 1996 and full Professor for Natural Computing since 2002.
Prof. Dr. Thomas Bäck is an expert on theory and application of special prediction and optimization algorithms based on concepts from natural evolution, so-called evolutionary algorithms. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Dortmund University (Germany). He worked as a department leader for the Informatik Centrum Dortmund (ICD) and as President and Chief Executive Officer for divis digital solutions GmbH. Since early 2000, professor Bäck is Managing Director of NuTech Solutions GmbH and CTO of NuTech Solutions, Inc. His role at NuTech Solutions includes the scientific supervision of projects with Fortune 1000 customers.
Travis D. Breaux is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, appointed in the Institute for Software Research of the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Breaux's research program searches for new methods and tools for developing correct software specifications and ensuring that software systems conform to those specifications in a transparent, reliable and trustworthy manner. This includes demonstrating compliance with U.S. and international accessibility, privacy and security laws, policies and standards. Dr. Breaux is the Director of the Requirements Engineering Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Breaux has several publications in ACM and IEEE-sponsored journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Breaux is a member of the ACM SIGSOFT, IEEE Computer Society and USACM Public Policy Committee.
Prior to coming to the Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Breaux received the Doctorate of Philosophy in Computer Science from North Carolina State University (NCSU) in 2009. Dr. Breaux also holds Baccalaureate degrees in Computer and Information Science from the University of Oregon and in Anthropology from the University of Houston. He has conducted research at the Institute for Defense Analyses, the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Laboratory, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS) at Purdue University. In 2000, Dr. Breaux served as a volunteer in the United States Peace Corps in Mongolia, before transitioning from anthropology to computer science.
Dr. Breaux traces his passion for exploring socio-technical systems back to teachings he received in culture cosmology and philosophy by Dr. Susan Rasmussen and Dr. Quetzil Casteñeda at the University of Houston. Dr. Breaux was first introduced to the field of Requirements Engineering by his undergraduate adviser, Dr. Stephen Fickas, at the University of Oregon whose influence includes requirements monitoring, requirements negotiation and ephemeral requirements. Under the guidance of Dr. Annie Antón, Dr. Breaux has extended his interests to include the societal impact of system requirements on privacy and security in their "ground-breaking" work to acquire software requirements from policies and U.S. federal and state regulations.
