Addressing numerous requests from the companies operating in the banking and financial services sector, the Chamber was pleased to host a special “Banking Market Leaders Breakfast” to discuss challenges for banks in the current turbulent environment and ways to address the needs of the banking community, utilizing the gathered insight to adjust the Chamber’s Banking and Financial Services Committee advocacy agenda in order to meet the needs of our business community in this rapidly changing environment.

During these turbulent times banks more than ever need an efficient industry-based dialog with various regulatory bodies including the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank of Ukraine. To undertake a successful and efficient dialog banks need to be organized as an industry developing agenda items and positions utilizing the experience and expertise within the international banking community operating in Ukraine.

The Chamber proposed to discuss ways of addressing the needs of banks and facilitating the dialog with authorities during these difficult times. The beginning of this process required a brainstorming session where we have invited CEOs of Chamber Member banks who represent majority of the banking assets, as well as representatives of international financial institutions, which will be key players in this advocacy partnership.
