Vita Semerenko: When in race, you are mobilized and fly autopilot
    • Sportswoman of Sumy Vita Semerenko in a dramatic struggle in biathlon sprint race has won the bronze Olympic medal. Eight years have passed since Ukrainian Olympians climbed the pedestal of the Winter Olympics. In 2006 in Turin bronze medals went in figure skating to Olena Hrushyna - Ruslan Honcharov, and Lilia Yefremova in biathlon sprint. Four years ago our athletes returned from the Olympic Vancouver without medals. And here again biathlon's shortest distance of 7.5 km brings Ukraine the long-expected medal. Again, the bronze, but its value is worth its weight in gold.

Experts: Ukraine becomes more popular due to protests
    • Mass rallies in Ukraine (so-called Euromaidan) have contributed to the rising popularity of Ukraine and attention from abroad. However, the focus, often unjustified, in the international media on violence during protests has significantly worsened the overall reputation of the state, making it in the eyes of international investors and tourists a problematic country. At the same time, the current surge in popularity of Ukraine should be used to ensure that the country is mentioned in the world media positively.

Why did Obama remind of Ukraine?
    • On Tuesday, U.S. President Barack Obama delivered the State of the Union Address to the Congress. Usually during such speeches, the U.S. leader gives his assessment of the events of national importance and encourages lawmakers to consider measures for the future, as he deems necessary. Interestingly, the frequency of this procedure is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, however, the basic law does not establish clear rules what topics the president can raise.
